Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Unity Developer role based in Chalandri, Athens. The Unity Developer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with mobile game development, augmented reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Qualifications
Experience in Mobile Game Development
Expertise in Programming languages such as C #, C++, Python , PHP ( Optional )
Strong knowledge of Unity3D and AR development frameworks such as ARCore
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field
Experience working with Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality projects and Visual Design tools such as Photoshop, etc. is a plus

Στο έργο «Ανάπτυξη Καινοτόμων Εφαρμογών για την Ανάδειξη του Ιστορικού και Γεωλογικού Παρελθόντος Τουριστικών Περιοχών», ο χρήστης φορώντας εξοπλισμό μπορεί να δει το λεκανοπέδιο τις Αττικής από το βράχο της Ακρόπολης αλλά και να περιηγηθεί στους κοντινούς νερόλακκους και να παρατηρήσει τη πανίδα που ευδοκιμούσε κατά την επιλεγμένη χρονική περίοδο. Οι παρακάτω εικόνες είναι από τους νερόλακκους που βρίσκονταν κάτω από την Ακρόπολη κατά τη περίοδο του Ολόκαινου (11,600 χρόνια έως και το σήμερα). Tο έργο γίνεται σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) και το Ίδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού (ΙΜΕ).



In the "Development of Innovative Applications for Highlighting the Historical and Geological Past of Touristic Areas" project, not only can the user wearing equipment can see the basin of Attica from the rock of the Acropolis, they can also browse the nearby waterholes and observe the wildlife that thrived during the selected time period. The images below are of the waterholes beneath the Acropolis during the Holocene period (11,600 years to the present). The project is made in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Foundation of the Hellenic World.

Στη έκδοση της Αττικής του 19ου αιώνα που υλοποιούμε για το έργο «Ανάπτυξη Καινοτόμων Εφαρμογών για την Ανάδειξη του Ιστορικού και Γεωλογικού Παρελθόντος Τουριστικών Περιοχών» συμπεριλαμβάνονται η Παλιά Βουλή, το μεγαλοπρεπές μέγαρο της Δούκισσας της Πλακεντίας, το Μέγαρο Συγγρού και το αρχοντικό Μέγαρο του Στέφανου Ψυχά. Tο έργο γίνεται σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) και το Ίδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού (ΙΜΕ).



In this VR version of Attica during the 19th century that is being developed for the project of “Development of Innovative Applications for the Projection of the Historic and Geological Past of Touristic Areas” the building of the Old Parliament is included along with the majestic mansion of the Duchess of Plakentia, the Sugrou mansion and also the mansion of Stefanos Psychas. The project is made in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Foundation of the Hellenic World

Σχεδιάζοντας τη τρισδιάστατη απεικόνιση της Αθήνας του 19ου αιώνα, έχουμε την ευκαιρία να μοντελοποιήσουμε ορισμένα από τα σημαντικότερα κτίρια της Αθήνας, όπως το Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο, το Εθνικό Θέατρο και το Κεντρικό Ταχυδρομείο. Ιστορικά κτήρια τα οποία με την αρχιτεκτονική τους μαρτυρούν την πνευματική και κοινωνική ζωή της εποχής, καθώς και τον πολιτισμό που εκπροσώπησε η Αθήνα την εποχή εκείνη. Το έργο υλοποιείται σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) και το Ίδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού (ΙΜΕ) για το έργο «Ανάπτυξη Καινοτόμων Εφαρμογών για την Ανάδειξη του Ιστορικού και Γεωλογικού Παρελθόντος Τουριστικών Περιοχών».



By designing a 3D representation of Athens during the 19th century, we have the opportunity to create some of Athens’s most important buildings like the National Technical University of Athens, the National Theatre and the Central Post Office. Historical buildings which, through their architecture display the mental and social state of that era, including the culture that Athens represented at the time. The project is made in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Foundation of the Hellenic World for the research project: "PALAEOSCOPE: Development of Innovative Applications for the Projection of the Historic and Geological Past of Touristic Areas".

Είναι ιδιαίτερη η χαρά μας να συμπεριλαμβάνεται το Project μας Palaeoscope στο ένθετο "ΒΗΜΑ Science" της εφημερίδας "ΤΟ ΒΗΜΑ" (άρθρο του κ. Άλκη Γαλδαδά).

Το Project πραγματεύεται την τρισδιάστατη ψηφιοποιήση, μέσω εμβυθιστικών τεχνολογιών εικονικής (VR) και επαυξημένης (AR) πραγματικότητας, της περιοχής της Αττικής, σε διαφορετικές γεωλογικές περιόδους.

Είναι μια συνεργασία μεταξύ της InDigital SA, του Τμήματος Γεωλογίας και Γεωπεριβάλλοντος του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστήμιου Αθηνών και του Foundation of the Hellenic World (Ίδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού).

Ταξιδεύουμε πίσω στο χρόνο, 23.03 – 5.333 εκατομμύρια χρόνια πριν, όταν στο λεκανοπέδιο της Αττικής κατοικούσαν συναρπαστικά πλάσματα από το ζωικό βασίλειο. Σας παρουσιάσουμε κάποια από αυτά τα υπέροχα πλάσματα που περιπλανιόνταν στη περιοχή γύρω από το βράχο της ακρόπολης κατά τη διάρκεια της περιόδου του Άνω Μειόκαινου.

Οι τρισδιάστατες εκδοχές αυτών των πλασμάτων θα χρησιμοποιηθούν στη τρισδιάστατη απεικόνιση της Αττικής κατά το Άνω Μειόκαινο μια υλοποίηση που γίνεται σε συνεργασία με το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) και το Ίδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού (ΙΜΕ) για το έργο «Ανάπτυξη Καινοτόμων Εφαρμογών για την Ανάδειξη του Ιστορικού και Γεωλογικού Παρελθόντος Τουριστικών Περιοχών».



We travel back in time, around 23.03 to 5.333 million years ago when the Attica basin was inhabited by marvelous animals. We present some of these amazing creatures who roamed the region around the Acropolis rock during the Miocene period.

The 3D models of these animals will be used for the 3D representation of Attica during the Miocene period, a project made in collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Foundation of the Hellenic World for the research project: "PALAEOSCOPE: Development of Innovative Applications for the Projection of the Historic and Geological Past of Touristic Areas".

Κάνοντας μια βόλτα στο φρούριο του Αντιρρίου και ανεβαίνοντας από τις ράμπες στον περίδρομο του τείχους, μπορεί κανείς να θαυμάσει από κοντά τον εντυπωσιακό ναυτικό φάρο του Αντιρρίου που κατασκευάστηκε το 1880 με ύψος 9 μέτρα και εστιακό ύψος 15 μέτρα. Η ψηφιοποίηση του έγινε σε συνεργασία με το Δήμο Ναυπακτίας στα πλαίσια υλοποίησης του έργου «Δημιουργία και ανάπτυξη ψηφιακών εφαρμογών για την ολοκληρωμένη προβολή και προώθηση των πολιτιστικών και φυσικών πλεονεκτημάτων του Δήμου Ναυπακτίας»

While taking a stroll at the Antirio Fortress and climbing up the ramp to the walls ramparts, one can admire the impressive nautical lighthouse of Antirio, built in 1880, 9 meters high and focal height of 15 meters. The digitization was made as part of the “Creation and development of digital applications for the complete projection and promotion of cultural and natural advantages of the municipality of Nafpaktia” project in collaboration with the municipality of Nafpaktos.
