🌍 Toward a shared framework: harmonising national job profiles

✅ A key step toward greater transparency and comparability in vocational education and training has been completed within EQAVET 4.0: the mapping of national job profiles across the participating countries.

Building on this work, we are now moving forward with the finalisation of occupational qualification profiles, identifying common ground while recognising the specific characteristics of each national context.

This process supports the development of a shared understanding of occupations, skills and qualifications and contributes to a more coherent and comparable approach across countries.

🌿✨ 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐚, 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐞 🇬🇷🏞️

From 30 June to 2 July 2026, SustainTour partners participated in an inspiring three-day study visit in Kalabaka–Meteora, Greece 📍🤝, focused on sustainable destination development, heritage interpretation, community-based tourism and environmental responsibility. 🌱🌍

The programme combined expert sessions 💬📚 with practical field visits 🚶‍♀️🏛️, including the Meteora–Pyli UNESCO Global Geopark 🪨🌿, the Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen ⛪, the Theopetra Museum and Cave 🏺, Gavros village 🏘️, the Digital Projection Centre 🎥 and several local museums 🏛️.

Participants explored how cultural and natural heritage 🏞️, digital storytelling 💻📖, outdoor tourism 🧗‍♀️🥾, local businesses 🛍️ and community participation 🤝 can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive and resilient tourism destinations. ♻️🌱

The visit concluded with a joint reflection session 💡📝 on how the lessons and good practices identified in Meteora can support sustainable tourism education 🎓 and strengthen the capacities of VET providers in Kosovo and Albania 🇽🇰🇦🇱.

Η εταιρία μας συμμετείχε στην υλοποίηση του έργου με τη σχεδίαση και ανάπτυξη της πλατφόρμας εκπαιδευσης και του εκπαιδευτικού υλικού.

✅ Ένα ακόμη έργο ψηφιακού μετασχηματισμού παραδόθηκε με επιτυχία.

Η Πλατφόρμα για την Ελληνική Χειροτεχνία, που υλοποιήθηκε από την Κοινωνία της Πληροφορίας Α.Ε. για το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού στο πλαίσιο του «Ελλάδα 2.0», δημιουργεί ένα σύγχρονο ψηφιακό οικοσύστημα για την καταγραφή, ανάδειξη και διασύνδεση της ελληνικής χειροτεχνίας.

Στην εκδήλωση παρουσίασης των αποτελεσμάτων του έργου παρευρέθηκαν η Υπουργός Πολιτισμού Λίνα Μενδώνη και ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Κοινωνίας της Πληροφορίας Α.Ε. Σταύρος Ασθενίδης.

Με συνέπεια στην αποστολή της, η Κοινωνία της Πληροφορίας Α.Ε. συνεχίζει να υλοποιεί έργα που αξιοποιούν την τεχνολογία για την ενίσχυση του πολιτισμού, της γνώσης και της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης.

Through coordinated efforts, partners continue advancing high-quality learning resources supporting the green 🌿, digital 🌐, and social 👥 transition in the tourism sector.

💡 The SustainTour Competence Framework is now in place, laying the foundation for the new 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫 profession.

➡️ In simple terms, this framework defines the key skills and competence areas needed for this new profile to support tourism businesses in becoming more green, digital, and socially responsible.

➡️ It also marks the starting point for the next phase of the project: developing the training curriculum and learning materials for tomorrow’s Sustainable Tourism Advisors.
