Nothing.

You're visiting a car dealership to shop for groceries.

(and, by extension, us at DotSee Web Services) is not set up to compete with fast, cheap, plugin or AI-driven brochure website construction. Although it can do that just as well.

It's primarily set up to offer:

Maintainability
Extensibility
Integrations
Migrations
Highly customized data structures
Fine grained user and group permissions
Superb content editor experience

These are features which make sense in enterprise environments - large sites, lots of content and custom functionality, a big number of connections to third party systems, teams of content editors and admins, GDPR compliance.

It's not set up to compete with website builder platforms.
It's set up to compete with other enterprise, closed-source products that ask for huge license fees.

As an Umbraco agency, we have access to multiple Umbraco Cloud accounts - clients, other agencies etc. Some of those have plenty of websites, and at some point it becomes exhausting to click on each of the websites in order to see which environments have pending commits.

Our own Konstantinos Giannopoulos had this issue more often than not, so he developed a browser plugin to make his life easier.

This little thing plugs into the Umbraco Cloud account you are logged in and shows you a status page with all projects, as if you had clicked inside each one and checked pending commits. It's a life saver when you handle a lot of stuff.

Unfortunately, since this Umbraco Cloud page does not really have an API, we can't do it for multiple accounts at once - it's based on the account you're currently logged in, and it can't track legacy (v8, v7) projects. But still, it's a good tool to use when you need to have a general overview of what's going on.

New feature in DotSee.Discipline for v17: Property Versions.

By enabling this feature, you can cycle through previously saved versions of each Rich Text, Text Area and Text String properties in your documents without having to rollback to a full document version.

The feature respects the "Rollback" permission, so it only works for users that have it on.

DotSee.Discipline for Umbraco v17 is now available.

It's a multifunctional package aimed at keeping your back office in order. Here are the features:

AutoNode: Automatically create new nodes upon publishing a node, based on rules
NodeRestrict: Restrict number of nodes to be created under a node, based on rules
VirtualNodes: Hide the url segment of a specific node based on doctype
HideNotCreatedVariants: Toggle show/hide of non-created variants for languages in the back office
NodeProtect: Protect nodes from deletion based on rules
AISummaries: Generate AI-based summaries for content nodes in the back office (requires OpenAI or Gemini API key)
