🚀 NITRO was proudly represented at A&R Expo 2026 in Athens, bringing together experts from the automation, robotics and cybersecurity sectors.

Over 100 visitors engaged with the project to discuss cyber resilience, 5G-IoT security, and cybersecurity training platforms for modern infrastructures.

Representatives from the University of Piraeus Research Center and Hellenic CyberSecurity Institute attended the event on behalf of the consortium.

Stella Tsitsoula Presents the NITRO Project on ERTnews Radio

On 22 November 2025, Stella Tsitsoula from the Hellenic Cybersecurity Institute (HCSI) participated in ERTnews Radio 105.8 on the program Digital Saturdays, hosted by Valia Kaimaki.

During the discussion, she talked the NITRO European Project, which is developing a 5G–IoT Cyber Range. a secure environment designed to test and train cybersecurity skills for 5G networks, IoT devices, and AI-related attacks.

The project enables professionals and researchers to examine cascading attacks across interconnected systems, contributing to the enhancement of Europe’s digital security.

The digital media sector is evolving and so are its security challenges.

On 20 October 2025, Ntantogian from Ionian University (IURC) presented at ERT, sharing how the NITRO Project is advancing cybersecurity education in line with the NIS2 Directive.

His talk demonstrated how research-driven methodologies can support critical service providers in strengthening compliance and resilience in today’s rapidly shifting EU cybersecurity landscape.

Innovation is meaningful when it reaches the organisations that need it most.

The NITRO – 5G-IoT Cyber Range platform will be presented to the public, offering a controlled training and testing environment for 5G networks and IoT applications. Special emphasis will be placed on security scenarios for professionals and researchers. The platform will be available for demonstration throughout the fair from September 12–14 during the day.
