Once again, PyCon Greece delivered. ๐Ÿ

Amazing talks, energy and overall organization. Kudos to the whole team for this year's event and cheers to many more!

Apart from sponsoring, Paris had news to share, so he grabbed the mic at the lightning talks for two special announcements:

1. Fakos, our new product in the making: Telemetry for humans and agents. Send it your OpenTelemetry logs, metrics and traces over HTTP and remold them into relational tables and a dashboard you can actually use. https://fakos.dev/

2. Django Day Athens 2027 is happening! ๐Ÿ’™ Get ready. More details to be revealed soon.

A huge thank you to PyGreece for organizing such a great event! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿฆ€ Rust Meetup Fall 2026: Teaching Turso when to yield with io_uring ๐Ÿฆ€

Tomorrow Paris Kasidiaris will show how we customised Turso, a SQLite rewrite in Rust, to wait and yield with io_uring on a single thread.

Why? We're building Fakos, a new OpenTelemetry server, on top of it. The target is thousands of durable writes per second with dashboard reads served from that same thread.

๐Ÿ๐Ÿ›๏ธ We can't wait for PyCon Greece 2026!

After such a great time at last year's edition, we're thrilled to be back as Bronze Sponsors! PyCon Greece is a volunteer-led initiative that brings the Python community together to connect and share knowledge. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned developers to newcomers.

Counting down the days!

๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ Afterthoughts: Django Day Copenhagen 2026

In our latest blog entry, we share our experience from Django Day Copenhagen: why this meetup is special to us, what we learned and a sneak peek of our upcoming OpenTelemetry server built with Django (1,000+ requests/s).

P.S. If you were there, you may find your name in the post.

๐Ÿฆ„ ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Django Day Copenhagen, here we come!

On Friday, October 2, Paris Kasidiaris will take the stage with a talk we've been looking forward to: DjangoMaxxing: Serving Thousands of OTLP Requests per Second in One Process.

Learn how we built an OpenTelemetry server with Django 6.1 and Python 3.14 that accepts traces and logs, exceptions included, and serves thousands of requests per second. No Redis or external collector. Just Django, one asyncio loop and SQLite.

Will you be there?

Many software agencies will build exactly what you ask for. We don't think that's enough.

Lukas Klement, during his time as CTO at Menutech, shared that it was LOGIC's consultative approachโ€”combined with our technical expertiseโ€”that helped deliver the results they needed.

Here's what that consultative lens looks like day to day:

โ€ข ๐–๐ž ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก ๐›๐š๐œ๐ค. If the proposed architecture will cause problems in six months, we say so. An early conversation is better than having to rebuild.
Why does this feature need to exist? Who is it actually for? Working from a place of curiosity keeps us open to every combination and solution, not just the obvious one.
This mixed approach gives you a clear understanding of what was built, why and what to do next โ€” with or without us.

Deployments that feel like an event โ€” a stressful one. One engineer being the only person who knows where production lives.

These are just a few of the warning signs that your startup might need DevOps support.

In the latest blog post with LOGIC, we break down what these warning signs look like and what you can do about them. Best to catch them before a crisis knocks on your door at 2 a.m. or right when you're about to scale.

And fret not, a hire isn't required.

Attention is in the past. So what's the way forward?

Our latest article tackles worn-out attention spans and their implications for content. Our take? The answer isn't shrinking everything for the sake of algorithm-friendly content. It's laconicism: cut what doesn't serve the point, keep the impact.

We did a fun local AI experiment with the Ornith 9b open-weights model. ๐Ÿฆ

Before heading off for a flight, Paris Kasidiaris pulled Ornith 9b into Ollama on an M1 MacBook Air (16GB, 6 years old, fanless) to see if it could produce anything useful completely offline. The task was to build a Python load-testing CLI for an internal service that needs to stay resilient under heavy traffic.

A few minutes (and a good chunk of battery) later, it delivered a full CLI: typed arguments, sensible defaults, a token-bucket rate limiter, threadpools, etc.

It wasn't flawless. There was some redundant code and a couple of internal libraries it couldn't reach. But getting roughly 90% of a genuinely useful tool from a coding model that is just 9B (~6GB) in size, running entirely offline on a 6-year-old fanless laptop, is seriously impressive. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Kudos to the Ornith team! Super excited to see where this goes.
