The name (ANTHER) refers to the anther, the part of a flower where pollen is produced. A small, central element that embodies the ideas of growth, nourishment and life. This concept forms the starting point of the visual system. The design language draws inspiration from the centre of the flower. The repetition and rhythm of the typography create a sense of movement and diffusion, evoking the anther’s life-giving force.

Anther is located on the ground floor of Perianth Hotel, housed within a 1930s building characteristic of the modernist architecture of the interwar period.

The identity emerges from the dialogue between two distinct design languages: the Art Deco character of the existing architecture and a contemporary visual approach developed specifically for Anther.

The name refers to the anther, the part of a flower where pollen is produced. A small, central element that embodies the ideas of growth, nourishment and life. This concept forms the starting point of the visual system. The design language draws inspiration from the centre of the flower. The repetition and rhythm of the typography create a sense of movement and diffusion, evoking the anther’s life-giving force.

The materiality of the space, brown wood, red stone and metallic copper, is translated into the visual language of the identity. Red emerges as the dominant colour, creating, in contrast with the black typography, a sense of tension and a dynamic visual presence. At the same time, the repetition of the name becomes a key graphic motif throughout the system.

We designed the website for the Kolokotronis Archive, a dynamic digital repository dedicated to documenting, studying, and showcasing the life and legacy of Theodore Kolokotronis and the broader history of the Greek War of Independence. Bringing together primary historical sources and contemporary scholarly approaches, the platform creates an open environment that supports research, education, and public history. The project was developed by the Michael N. Stasinopoulos Foundation and the Public Benefit Foundation for Social and Cultural Work (KIKPE), in collaboration with the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.
