At QUE Technologies, we are proud to contribute to E-BUSCO, a European project co-funded by the EU LIFE Programme, supporting the development of innovative solutions for more efficient, sustainable and collaborative energy management.

⚡ Through E-BUSCO, we are working alongside European partners to empower Energy Communities and businesses to make smarter energy decisions, maximise the benefits of renewable energy and unlock new opportunities for energy flexibility.

💡 QUE Technologies leads Work Package 3 (WP3), focusing on the design, adaptation and integration of digital tools and services tailored to the needs of Energy Community Hubs.

Our contribution includes the development and integration of the Energy Sharing and Management Tool (ESM), leveraging energy forecasting, consumption analysis and optimisation techniques to support:

🔹 Smarter energy consumption and load scheduling

🔹 Improved utilisation of locally generated renewable energy

🔹 Energy cost optimisation and increased self-consumption

🔹 Data-driven recommendations for Energy Communities and businesses

🌱 With demonstration activities in Greece, Spain and Italy, E-BUSCO aims to bridge the gap between innovative energy technologies and practical solutions that can accelerate Europe's clean energy transition.

🌍 QUE Technologies at the “Data-ready for 2027” meeting!

We were pleased to participate in the “Data-ready for 2027” meeting, showcasing our contribution to the OpenBEP4EU project.

🎤 Our colleague Antonis Papanikolaou presented QUE Technologies’ work on open and interoperable Building Energy Performance calculation tools, highlighting their role in supporting the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Through OpenBEP4EU, we are proud to contribute to more transparent, efficient and data-driven building energy assessments, supporting a more sustainable future for Europe. 🌱🇪🇺

🚀 REEFLEX | Final Year of the Project

As REEFLEX moves into its final year, the focus is shifting towards evaluating the results and impact of its different Use Cases.

📊 Platform data collection is getting underway, together with the mapping of KPIs to the relevant Use Cases, laying the groundwork for the project’s evaluation activities.

As WP6 Leader, QUE Technologies coordinates and oversees this cross-project effort, working closely with partners to demonstrate REEFLEX’s contribution to a smarter and more flexible European energy system. ⚡🌱

🚀 OPENTUNITY: Successful completion of the final demonstration phase

As OPENTUNITY approaches completion, the final demonstration phase has now been successfully completed.

For QUE Technologies, this milestone also marks the successful demonstration of the Federated Data Exchange Infrastructure (FDEI), enabling secure, sovereign and interoperable data exchange between participating platforms.

The results of this final phase have now been consolidated in D6.2 – Demonstration Activities Report, which has been successfully submitted.

A great milestone for OPENTUNITY as we move towards the final stages of the project! ⚡

At QUE Technologies, we believe that more sustainable, accessible and inclusive buildings begin with better understanding on how buildings perform today, exploring how they could improve and supporting stakeholders in selecting the most appropriate interventions. 🏢⚡

Now in Month 26 of the EU project AccesS our team continues its work on BIM-based energy simulations and smart readiness assessments for the project’s pilot buildings.

As task contributors to WPs 10, 11 and 12, we support the pilot implementation, evaluation and impact assessment activities of AccesS.

Our simulation and assessment work is progressing across the AccesS pilots. In this update, we are spotlighting the Dutch pilot Stichting Droom je Thuis and sharing a visual example of how building energy systems and potential renovation scenarios are modelled and examined.
Through the Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Design Tool (EESDT) stakeholders can:

🏢 Explore a building’s BIM-based digital model

⚡ Assess its energy performance and smart readiness

🛠️ Examine alternative energy-system and renovation scenarios

📊 Compare results according to priorities such as energy performance, cost and smart readiness
EESDT is one of the complementary digital services brought together through the AccesS Suite — an integrated platform supporting different aspects of accessible, inclusive and sustainable built environments.

⚡ What an inspiring few days at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW)! 🇪🇺

It was a pleasure to share insights from DECODIT and the e-Energy Cluster, exchanging ideas with our sister projects and engaging with the wider EUSEW community. 🤝💡

🎤 The policy sessions were particularly thought-provoking, highlighting the EU’s political priorities as it navigates an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape while accelerating the energy transition.

🌍 Beyond the sessions, EUSEW was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and network with some of Europe’s brightest minds driving the clean energy transition. 🚀

HEDGE-IoT Project 4th Plenary Meeting in Mikkeli, Finland
On 27–28 May, HEDGE-IoT partners gathered in Mikkeli, Finland, for the 4th HEDGE-IoT Plenary Meeting, hosted by project partner ABB.

⚡ The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for partners to review the progress achieved during the current reporting period, exchange technical updates, and align on the next phases of project implementation across the different pilot and replication sites. QUE Technologies actively participated in the discussions concerning the HEDGE-IoT Data Space implementation as well as the ongoing developments within the Replicator Pilot in Northern Greece.

🚗 As part of the meeting, ABB organized a technical visit to a local hydroelectric power plant and additional metering facilities, offering participants a real-life demonstration of the Finnish infrastructure utilized within HEDGE-IoT.

💪🏻 A big thank you to ABB and all HEDGE-IoT partners for the excellent organization and productive discussions in Mikkeli.

⚡️ REEFLEX General Assembly & Danish Replication Kick-Off in Holbæk, Denmark
Over the past two days, REEFLEX partners gathered in Holbæk for the VII REEFLEX General Assembly and the official kick-off of the Danish replication activities.
QUE Technologies was actively involved in the event, presenting an overview of the progress achieved in WP6 as Work Package Leader. WP6 focuses on the installation and integration of project assets with the REEFLEX platform, enabling the deployment and validation of flexibility services across the project's replication sites.
During the kick-off event, Holbæk Municipality presented its work within the REEFLEX project, highlighting how municipal electric vehicles and charging infrastructure can support smarter and more flexible energy use.
⚡ Discussions focused on electricity grid flexibility, EV integration, congestion management, flexibility markets, and the growing role of electric vehicles in the energy transition.
🚗 Participants also visited the local EV charging infrastructure and replication site connected to the REEFLEX activities in Holbæk.
The General Assembly sessions further strengthened collaboration across the consortium as partners exchanged updates and aligned on the next phases of the project.
A big thank you to Holbæk Kommune and all REEFLEX partners for two productive and inspiring days of collaboration.
