Electronics, Information, Research & Development PRISMA ELECTRONICS SA was established in 1991 in Alexandroupolis, Greece.

Through a consistent and continuous effort, the Company evolved into an Information and Communications specialized company, while entering the area of electronics technology, creating an infrastructure and capabilities for Design and Construction of Electronic Systems. Characterized by innovation, the main objective is the development of Corporate Products and Services of high technology in the field of Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications and Energy. The export-orientation in new markets is a dynamic priority to the promotion of company products. Today, the Company is considered the largest of its kind in the Greek region, and that is the result of hard and persistent effort, featuring quality, competitiveness, reliability and effective support from its partners. The staff which supports the activities of the Company amounts to 56 people, characterized by their high training and effort to continuously further and/or upgrade their education – training. The working environment supports creativity and continuous improvement through development of new ideas in theory and experimentation. PRISMA ELECTRONICS is certified by TUV HELLAS with ISO 9001:2008. The organizational structure includes the Management, the Financial & Administrative Departments and the Sectors of Electronics, Information and Research & Development. The wide range of the Company’s business activities is sustained in the privately owned main offices (700 m2) in Alexandroupolis, the industrial site (1900 m2) in the Industrial Zone of Alexandroupolis and the Company's offices in Athens. The development of Artificial Intelligence and its application in real-world environments were at the heart of the conference organised by the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “Evros” on 14 October 2026 in Alexandroupolis, Greece.

Prisma Electronics was represented by Dr. Christos Spandonidis, CTO & Head of R&D, who delivered a presentation entitled “Developing Artificial Intelligence in Greece: From Real-World Data to Industrial Intelligence and Operational Decision-Making.”

During his presentation, he highlighted the company's experience and expertise in developing AI applications across the Maritime, Aviation, Space and Cultural sectors, focusing on data analytics, predictive maintenance and operational decision support.

Particular emphasis was placed on the human factor, recognising that the most valuable investment in Artificial Intelligence lies in the people who develop it. Headquartered in Alexandroupolis, Prisma Electronics invests in highly skilled professionals, strengthening technological expertise and creating opportunities for scientific advancement in regional Greece.

A central message of the presentation was the transition from developing algorithms to delivering solutions with tangible operational value, where Artificial Intelligence serves as a tool to enhance human judgement rather than replace it.

The conference also featured speakers including Deputy Minister of Digital Governance Christos Dermentzopoulos, Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis, academics Dimitrios Varsamis, Konstantinos Cheilas, Konstantinos Rantos, Athanasios Kapoutsis and Aspasia Serntari, Police Deputy Director Christos Tzoumailis, as well as military officers Grigorios Gkoutzelis, Apostolos Konstantopoulos, Ioannis Drakos and Nikolaos Smyrnios.

Innovation begins with the ideas of the next generation.

As part of European Mobility Week 2026, the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace organized the student competition “Smart Mobility – Student Innovation in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2026”, highlighting ideas focused on road safety, sustainable mobility and the future of transportation.

Prisma Electronics supported the Special Award for “Innovation & Digital Skills”, offering students educational workshops and seminars on emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence.

The awards were presented by George Giordamlis, Chairman of the Board of Prisma Electronics, who, during his remarks, encouraged the students to continue shaping the future through their ideas, creativity and imagination.

Prisma Electronics was present at this year’s Thessaloniki International Fair, contributing to the dialogue around two key issues shaping the future and competitiveness of Greek businesses: ESG and the development of Deep Tech innovation.

Dimitra-Marina Giordamli, Corporate Affairs Executive at Prisma Electronics, participated in two thematic panels, sharing the perspective and experience of a Greek technology company operating in demanding international markets.

During the panel “The challenges of ESG criteria for SMEs and their role as a driver of success,” the discussion focused on how ESG is evolving from a compliance requirement into a factor of competitiveness and credibility. Through the example of LAROS, the discussion also highlighted the role of technology and data in linking environmental performance to measurable business value.

At the panel “Deep Tech: The Next Generation of Innovation,” held as part of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s presence at TIF, the discussion turned to the conditions that enable a Greek high-tech company to establish and maintain a strong position in international markets and global value chains.

Drawing on Prisma Electronics’ experience across the maritime, defence and space sectors, Dimitra-Marina Giordamli highlighted the importance of long-term investment in research and development, transforming technological expertise into real-world applications, as well as consistency, quality, certifications, production capabilities and continuous customer support.

Ms. Dimitra-Marina Giordamli, Corporate Affairs at Prisma Electronics, participated in the International Maritime Conference, joining the panel “Maritime Innovation as a Growth Engine – Sustainability, Economic Development & Port Competitiveness.”

Together with representatives from the maritime industry, ports and academia, the discussion explored how technological advancements are already influencing the way the sector approaches sustainability, operational efficiency and competitiveness.

From Prisma Electronics’ perspective, particular emphasis was placed on the practical use of data. Data collection is now only one part of the equation; the real value lies in turning that data into meaningful insights that can improve the understanding of vessel operations, support informed decision-making and enable the monitoring of environmental performance.

The discussion also addressed a broader challenge for the maritime sector: how technological progress can keep pace with increasing environmental requirements while remaining aligned with the operational and economic realities of shipping.
