If you are drowning, getting your head above water is a welcome relief. But in that state, you are still at risk of drowning. The only long-lasting solution is getting out of the water. Poverty is the water in which you are drowning. A salary merely keeps your head above water. Only by getting out of the water can you escape poverty. And that is only possible by having a reliable income that you control. You don't control salary. You can be sacked. The business employing can collapse. Or you may get sick. But when you invest, whether in your own business, or simply sell to excel, you have an income entirely within your control, and that guarantees your exit from the floodwaters.
Make your business a priority and don't mistake laziness for faith.
