We celebrate art, support artists, nurture young talent, and strengthen communities through creativity, culture, and expression. Art in the Round is a global nonprofit creative foundation dedicated to celebrating art, supporting artists, nurturing creative talent, advancing research, and strengthening communities through culture and expression. Rooted in Ghana but connected to the world, Art in th

e Round serves as a home for people who believe in the power of art to shape identity, inspire transformation, and connect humanity. The organization was founded on the understanding that art is not a luxury, it is a human necessity. Art makes all things efficient, by fostering the creative and critical thinking essential for solving problems, driving innovation, and enriching human experience. Art tells our stories, heals our brokenness, grows our imagination, and expands our possibilities. It gives children confidence, gives communities meaning, and gives nations cultural identity. Yet many artists, learners, and communities around the world lack platforms for support, visibility, and creative growth. We operate through a holistic ecosystem of five pillars:
1. Art & Artist Support Platform
2. Creative Community & Culture Hub
3. Research & Knowledge Centre
4. Youth Talent & Innovation Lab
5. Arts Education & Learning Support

We aspire to create:
A world where creativity is valued, artists are supported, youth are empowered, and art becomes a universal language of connection. Impact Statement:
Art in the Round emerges from lived experience and proven transformations, such as the mentorship that led a 16-year-old student to build an AI education system now recognized nationally. Our founder, Samuel Ohene-Sarfo, is an award-winning art educator, ICTE 2025 speaker, and author of The Teacher’s Eye: How to Find Hidden Genius in a Crowded Classroom. We are committed to expanding this transformative work, uplifting artists, strengthening creative education, and inspiring the next generation of innovators across the world.

We are honored to have participated in the launch of the Eastern Flowers Initiative, a visionary project led by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, to reclaim and elevate the identity of Koforidua as the City of Flowers, while beautifying communities across the entire Eastern Region.

As Art in the Round, we are proud to announce that we will be spearheading the artistic and creative component of this initiative—using art, design, murals, sculpture, youth creativity, and community engagement to help bring this vision to life.
This is more than beautification. It is about identity, tourism, pride, opportunity, and transforming spaces into places of inspiration.

Special appreciation to Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey for this bold vision, Eastern TV for amplifying the story, and Ansah Kojo Ansah for the support and commitment to creative development.

The Eastern Region is ready to bloom. 🌸🎨

Art in the Round was honoured to present a portrait drawing to Apostle Mike Etrue, the Koforidua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost during the youth program Prayer in the Park: The Benediction.

This honorary gift was in recognition of his faithful service to the Lord, his dedication to the Area, and to celebrate his retirement from active ministry. COP Koforidua AREA PIWC Koforidua - Miracle Sanctuary

We are grateful for the opportunity to use art to honour leadership, legacy, and a life of impact.

Our Executive Director, Samuel Ohene-Sarfo, recently participated in the maiden International Conference by the College of Education, University of Ghana, themed "Addressing Contemporary Challenges in Education, Communication, Information and Technology."

Samuel presented the paper "From Seeing to Supporting: How Teacher Insight and Learner-Driven Innovation Bridge Classroom Learning and Real-World Application" — a study rooted in Art in the Round's core belief that education must be responsive, creative, and learner-centred.

What this means for us:
🔹 Fresh research insights that will shape our upcoming programmes
🔹 New connections with leading scholars and practitioners in education
🔹 A stronger evidence base to support our advocacy for innovative teaching and learning

Special thanks to Prof. Nana Afia Opoku-Asare, Prof. Afua Animwaa Bani, Dr. Rita Yeboah, and all the organisers for a truly enriching experience.

We're excited about what's ahead.

A moment of gratitude, captured through art.

During the International Day for Down Syndrome program, we had the honor of creating a live painting of Mr. Martin as a surprise token of appreciation for his incredible generosity and commitment to young people living with Down syndrome.

From donating automated wheelchairs, books, liquid soap, and so much more, his support continues to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of many. We believe that such impact deserves to be celebrated in a meaningful and personal way, and what better way than through art.

This piece was more than a painting; it was our way of saying thank you for the kindness, the compassion, and the lives being transformed.

Art in the Round celebrates you, Mr. Martin.

Yesterday, we had the incredible honor of participating in the International Day for Down Syndrome program at West Hills Mall in Accra, alongside an inspiring community committed to inclusion, advocacy, and empowerment.

This experience meant so much to us. Beyond showcasing our work, we connected with passionate individuals and organizations whose dedication to creating opportunities for persons with Down syndrome is truly impactful. The exposure and meaningful conversations we had will continue to shape our journey in powerful ways.

We are proud to have contributed to such a purposeful initiative and look forward to the many opportunities and collaborations that will unfold from here.

A heartfelt thank you to Mad Mavis, the Robbfoundation Ghana team, and all partners who made this event a success.

Raw designs. Raw concepts. Raw conversations. Raw explanations, yet deeply rooted in aesthetics.

This is the beauty of learning with Grade 11 students who are actively observing their society and responding to current trends. Before automation, before coding, and before digital tools, every User Interface begins as an idea, a visual structure shaped on paper.

Today, Princess walks us through her UI concept, thoughtfully designed and explained in her own words. Moments like this remind us that innovation often begins with a pencil, paper, and a curious mind.

Congratulations, Princess. Keep designing, keep thinking, and keep creating.
