How to Erase 99% of Your Digital Footprint 🕵️♂️
A complete step-by-step guide to cleaning up your personal data, old accounts, and hidden leaks online.
1️⃣ Remove yourself from data aggregators
• GetContact → Profile Management → Hide Data
• Truecaller → Unlist your phone number
• Telegram database bots → Request data removal
Takes less than 10 minutes.
2️⃣ Remove your info from Google Search
Search: “Request to remove personal information from Google”
You can delete search results containing your phone number, address, or email.
The tool has existed for years — most people never use it.
3️⃣ Find forgotten accounts
Search your email inbox for:
• “Confirm your email”
• “Verify email”
Every result is likely an old account you forgot existed.
Log in and delete what you no longer use.
4️⃣ Check if your data was leaked
Use haveibeenpwned.com and enter your email.
You’ll probably discover multiple breaches you never knew about.
Change compromised passwords immediately.
5️⃣ Turn off Google tracking
Go to myactivity.google.com
→ Delete activity
→ Choose “All Time”
Also disable:
• Search history
• Location tracking
• YouTube history
6️⃣ Delete old social media posts
• Twitter/X → Use TweetDelete to auto-remove old posts
• VK → Activity History → Filter by year → Delete
7️⃣ Protect yourself from future leaks 🔒
• Use SimpleLogin or Apple Hide My Email for one-time email aliases
• If one gets leaked, simply delete the alias
• Use the Brave browser — it blocks trackers by default
Your personal data is worth more than you think. Protect it before someone else profits from it.
