As the face of our company, the ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting customers and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities and Desirable Qualities:
- General day-to-day operations
- Communications
- Have an interest in phones and computers as this is what you'll be working with
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Organised, motivated and proactive

Other Details:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Fixed hours.

A Typical Day:

Working from 09.00 - 17.30 with a 1-hour lunch break, you'll be taking in broken devices to be repaired or serviced by way of greeting customers and opening tickets, and logging the issues with said device. It will also involve giving back fixed devices to customers collecting and taking payments for the repairs. These devices can be phones, iPads, laptops consoles, and more. You'll manage customers' expectations with turnaround times, and deliver exceptional customer service. You'll need to keep customers updated on the progress of their repairs, both in-store and over the phone. This role comes with a 5-year plan to expand within the company to be fully trained into a junior tech providing minor repairs to devices, OR EVEN as far as a store manager as we have multiple store locations and this role is yet to be filled (if desired).

We are looking to fill this position with immediate effect, the salary for the right candidate is negotiable.

After much discussion with the States of Guernsey, the essential working list cannot be amended until the next CCA meeting, despite how they feel about Tech-Zone being essential.

We have approved PPE gear now at our disposal and wish to extend an offering of repair service for emergency repairs only within the guidelines posted on the gov.gg website. We can offer a contactless, safe, collection and delivery service for any essential repair. Payments can be made over the phone or via bank transfer - we cannot accept cash.

*Guernsey Lockdown - Tech-Zone Guernsey Procedures:*

According to the government guidelines, we do not qualify to be able to continue to trade as essential. We understand that many of you have devices with us that are needed for communication or to enable you to work from home and are in urgent need of your devices back. We wish to remain in line with the government guidelines, so we are just awaiting clarification before we can do anything further. We understand this may cause frustration but please know we are making it our top priority. Our current guidelines state that we cannot work unless it is to support the work of an essential worker. We would like to thank you all for your continued support and cooperation at this time. Further information will be communicated by email and on our social media pages once we have a clearer direction from the government as to their response in the light of this latest news.
