I think that curiosity, distorted Russian space, childish images, and dreams drive me in the development of our devices. We are not promoting psychedelics, but sound synthesis, these hours spent in a trance state in front of a rack, is the best psychedelic. It is a way to express oneself as an engineer and artist and to help people express themselves through the lens

of these devices. At the moment I am creating several new projects in the Eurorack format. I also love weird guitar stuff, and I want to bring some modules to the guitar world. Hello everyone!

A short update on availability and current development:

Modules are now available through all main dealers. Shipments have been completed, with additional batches already on the way. Overall, stock levels are stable and continue to expand.

Dealer status:
– Perfect Circuit (USA) in stock
– Triangle (Germany) in stock, restock shipment sent

I’m also glad to see a new dealer in London.
– (UK) first shipment already in stock at the new partner

Now to development.
Following the constraints related to sanctions, work on the large desktop synthesizer had to be temporarily slowed down. The project itself also turned out to be more complex than initially expected, it requires the development of a significant number of custom subsystems, which makes it a slow engineering process. However, development is ongoing.

In parallel, we continue evolving the existing platform. Based on current signal processing solutions (including distortion as a standalone module), the next direction is gradually taking shape.

Two new modules are currently in development:

– a module for specific signal distortion
– a compact, practical mixer with solid functionality and a reasonable price point

The plan is to release these devices before autumn.

And a big thank you to everyone who buys, follows the project, and supports it. I don’t post updates very often, but the work is continuous, and it keeps moving forward thanks to you.

K**b Technology Year in Review

First of all, I want to thank all of our customers and users. You are the best. Everything we make exists for you and only because of your support.

I’d also like to give a special shout-out and a big hug to our main dealers: .rocks and . Right now, you are essentially the backbone of device availability, especially in the middle of all the political turbulence.

Recently, Perfect Circuit restocked all currently produced modules, including a small batch of the rarely released AONX Boolean Logic modules.

This year I really wanted to delight everyone with a new release, but unfortunately as usual the universe had other plans. On one hand, I started a fairly large long-term project, parts of which are intended to be very unique by industry standards. I’ll write a separate post about it next year. On the other hand, we once again ran into random, cascading sanctions, this time affecting PCB assembly services. As a result, the majority of my time is now spent on manual soldering and assembly just to keep devices in stock.

As mentioned in previous posts, we also had serious issues with the Eta Carinae 2 modules specifically due to defective SSI2130 chips. This problem has now been resolved. The manufacturer supplied corrected chips, and all units currently on sale already have the proper replacement installed. Over the past few months, there have been no reports of issues with the corrected devices.

All of these difficulties definitely knocked me off balance. But we have to keep moving, fix what needs fixing, and look for solutions simply to keep doing our work.

The main personal takeaway of the year is this: I still love K**b Technology, I still love sound synthesis, and I don’t want to repeat. I want to create more unique and interesting instruments ones that bring peace, joy, and creation into the world.

I wish everyone a happy New Year! We’ll do our best to make 2026 as productive and full as possible.

ηCarinae 2.1 Update — The Path to Recovery

Friends, I’d like to share the results of the latest research and testing phase, as well as my next steps.

The issue with unstable oscillator startup affecting some ηCarinae 2.1 modules is real — it has been confirmed, reproduced, and documented.

The good news:
Not all SSI2130 Rev.A chips are affected. Most of them operate absolutely reliably under all power-up conditions. Therefore, production will continue, but with several key changes:

1. All modules will now be tested for oscillator startup under power phase mismatch conditions. I’ve built a dedicated testing setup for this. (Since the component’s datasheet didn’t mention any such behavior, this was not previously part of validation.)

2. Modules that pass full testing will be returned to sale.

3. Problematic ones will be repaired with chip replacement.

Any customer experiencing this issue can contact me directly or through a dealer.
I will repair or replace the board free of charge and reimburse all shipping costs.

4. We’ve also been in touch with the chip manufacturer.
According to them, the new Rev.B of the SSI2130 addresses the startup lock-up issue.
They’ve already sent me a batch of Rev.B chips for evaluation.
If confirmed, ηCarinae 2.1 will continue to evolve and be produced using the updated revision of ic SSI2130.

Here’s a small but heartfelt summary of the year:
I’m alive, and that’s already a win.
Devices are being invented and made- that’s simply wonderful!

This year, ηCarinae was redesigned and released!
And its sister, AGNI- INGA- was brought to life!
I’m also constantly working on correcting mistakes and improving production. Mistakes happen- I accept them as part of the process- but they must always be fixed, and better results should always be pursued.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports my developments. Currently, all etaCarinae modules are sold out, and we are now working on a new batch.

The upcoming batch will be the etaCarinae rev 2.1
Unfortunately, adjustments were necessary for one of the PCBs. (Anyone who has experienced even the slightest issues with the modules of version 2.0 will receive updated, fixed circuit boards for free. I have already notified all the owners)

The next limited batch of 10 modules of this version of etaCarinae is expected to be ready in January. Simultaneously, a complete video demo will be published here and on our YouTube channel. If you really want this module, it’s best to contact me in advance to join the waitlist.

k**B Technology - INGA with two VCOs
Simple patch where signals from two VCOs are routed through INGA to create a percussive sound while simultaneously synthesizing both bass and lead lines. Everything is controlled by a sequencer, two envelopes, and an attenuator.
