Catalogger e-catalogue, e-commerce, e-shop, website.
The beginning came from a customer's request who wanted a mock-up for a website focusing on products he was selling. Requirements were quite simple, multilingual, light-code, multi-user and easy administration and big concern about speediness.
Catalogger targets small and medium businesses selling products and services in need of presenting them on the web. Digital communication is not an easy job whatever is the size of the company, despite all the simplification efforts deployed by our tool, it is a tool more oriented on people with some technical background and friendly with technical terminology. As per comparison we could say that not everyone can cook for a restaurant, it is the same for digital communication, you need to know what you are speaking about. But, also, you don't need to be a high-graduate to make delicious cooking, it is the same with digital communication.
The main advantage of Catalogger is that it is "Software As A Service" solution. Customers just need to own a domain name and make it pointing to our server, then in a few steps forward and he will have his website online. HTML pages are not stocked, they are issued on the fly, client data such as pictures and PDF are not stored on the Web container and are accessible only by URL.
Catalogger is quick. Simply quick, pages are created on the fly, queries are optimized when creating the catalogue and labels to display items in a list are saved as HTML nodes. It has one instance of the administration per server allowing you to manage, as many as needed, domains.
Catalogger is native multilingual; it is a basic functionality. Our solution has a graphical layout designer tool.
Another customer request let us implement multi-domains abilities. This client has several domain names specialized on real-estate selling. All the data is loaded on the main domain and distributed to the sub-domain according to the filters, administration is concentrated on one point.
Client pays (once) for a right of use of a template on a server and yearly hosting and maintenance fee.
Catalogger comes from the word "catalogue" and means, for us, a tool that generates catalogues. More precisely it is to produce digital catalogues. Whatever you sell, you need to describe your articles. Each catalogue has its own structure to present items, this is what Catalogger do.
So Catalogger is a tool to design catalogue and to publish them as a website.
