📱 WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

We’re hitting the same problem again with iPhone screen repairs…

And honestly, it’s frustrating, because the only real chance we get to educate customers is usually on social media.

By the time someone walks through our doors, it’s often already too late.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

⚠️ Same story, different day…

On Saturday, a customer came in with a failed screen on his iPhone 16.

He openly said:

“I normally come to you guys, but you were closed on Sunday and I needed my phone fixing ASAP.”

Fair enough. We completely understand that.

But straight away, without even opening the phone, we could see the issue.

❌ It had been fitted with a poor-quality LCD screen.

When we pointed this out, the customer said:

“Really? I was given two options — Standard and Premium. I paid £130 for the premium screen repair option.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🚩 The problem?

What he had actually paid for was:

❌ £130 for an LCD screen
❌ A part that likely cost around £30 to buy into stock
❌ On a repair that can take around 10 minutes to carry out
❌ Sold under the impression it was a “premium” option

That’s the part we struggle with.

Had this been an OEM-quality screen, or even a good Soft OLED aftermarket screen, then the price could be justified.

But £130 for an LCD screen on an iPhone 16, while making it sound like a premium screen, is misleading.

💬 Convenience vs Quality

This customer admitted he was in urgent need of a repair.

And sadly, it feels like that urgency was used against him.

This is becoming more and more obvious in the repair industry:

⚡ Convenience often beats quality
⚡ Convenience often beats price
⚡ Convenience often beats transparency

And customers are the ones left paying for it.

🤦‍♂️ The worst part?

The screen failed after just 2 weeks.

He then came to PC Revamp and paid:

✅ £90 for a Soft OLED screen
✅ Better quality
✅ Better value
✅ Cheaper than the LCD repair he had already paid for

So he paid more money first time round for a worse screen.

Make it make sense.

🔴 Why one-price screen repairs need to stop

One price.
One quality.
One option.

That doesn’t help customers make an informed decision.

Customers deserve to know what they are actually paying for.

Not every screen is the same.
