Experience is preferred but you just need access to a camera, or a decent smartphone!

You could be earning up to £100 for the job and you’ll get to have a peek into all the student houses across York 🕵️‍♂️

This job will take place at the beginning of summer so is perfect for earning a bit of cash to help you enjoy the summer 🙌🏼

Assessment centres are common place for internships and graduate jobs at many large companies, and they tend to be days filled with team-building activities, interviews and skill tests!
It’s always best to look for advice specific to the company you have applied to, but there are some key pointers to remember!

- Very often, companies will recruit as many people as impress them, so rather than seeing the other candidates as competition, see them as colleagues! You’ll perform much more true to yourself if you take this mindset… and very often, it’s not about being the most vocal!
- Prepare for an interview: often, your final interview will take place at these assessment centres! Take the advice of our previous post on job interviews to make sure you’re ready for this!
- Have fun! You get to learn all about the company on these days, and they give you the chance to show what you’re like as a real worker, not just as a student!
 It’s also so important to remember that every experience builds on what you didn’t have before: so even if you aren’t successful, remember that you have developed your abilities and skills ready for next time!

At the moment, we know there will be a lot of tough days, but sometimes, stepping back and seeing simple beauties in each day can do the world of good in putting into perspective parts of your life that are wonderful! It could be as simple as hearing the birds when you’re out on a walk!
