Morning all !
So i have to change the way i do things a little i’m afraid !
A few time recently ive had a phone call asking about a specific repair like a samsung battery replace etc !
Obviously fuel being silly prices the customer wants to avoid multiple trips and i’ve tried to accommodate !

In the past i have ordered batteries etc and customer comes in when it arrives BUT i’ve also had times when i’ve paid ordered and my calls are ignored or the customer doesn’t want it anymore !

With apple that’s not a big deal but Android batteries are often unique and it maybe literally years before i see that model needing a battery again , by which time the battery i have is no good anyway !

So IF you want me to order a part before you visit you will need to bank transfer first AND agree that once it arrives the battery is yours regardless of a change in circumstance !

It’s sad but i’ve just tallied uncollected parts to over £400 ! net to me ! That’s not good financially environmentally or for my admin stress levels either 🙈

Firstly thanks for all the positive comments on my last post ! I wasn’t fishing 🎣 honest 😇🙏

Question :-
What’s the opposite of the expression “ i don’t have a dog in this fight”

Reason i ask is this ..
I sell very few mobile phones, i have half a dozen in store at any one time, they are garnish on my main course !

90% of my turnover is …successfully!!!…repairing my customers phones and tablets !
I operate a no fix no fee policy !! so i mean that literally !

Many of the recent “pop up shops” have hundreds of phones ready to sell to you IF they fail to fix yours!

So who do you think has a bigger dog in the fight for YOUR device YOUR data YOUR PICTURES ???

Morning all !
So last week i had a customer come in because his iPhone wasn’t charging !
Not an unusual problem sometime easy fix sometimes practically impossible !
However during the ten minutes i took removing debris and “ethanol cleaning”the contacts we chatted !

Turns out a couple of weeks before he had left his phone with the same problem at another shop in yeovil !
This shop had claimed they had “replaced” his charing port in under an hour and charged him £150 😮
I am here to say categorically that i doubt ANY shop in yeovil can replace an iphone 15 range charging port/flex at all !! and categorically not in under an hour !!

They absolutely did not replace the port i inspected and this is why coming to see me for a FREE while you wait inspection ! done within your line of sight at all times will cost you nothing and save you being ripped off !

have the work done elsewhere if you wish! your prerogative !

FYI the phone charged after i had finished and cost the customer £25 ! inc dust cover !

I’m worth the extra 5 minute walk 😎
If the customer in question sees this and wishes to confirm details that’s up to him ! not my place.

morning all increased Benefits et al for persons in polygamous
marriages !
So extra tax payers money handed out to men with multiple wives !
Now benefits are, we are told available to all who qualify but for a British citizen you would have to break the law to qualify !!
Tell me this government is targeting benefits and pensions at a certain demographic without telling me ……..
Maybe other traditions from country of origin should be adopted and supported as well ??
Stoning, honour killing, keeping wives on a chain ?
Heck ask nicely i’m sure DWP will buy you a length of chain!! Stainless steel of course we have standards 🙈🙈🙈
This country not gone to the dogs! it’s been through the dogs and is sitting in a biodegradable poopy bag ( probably paid for by tax payers ) 😡
