We’re really pleased to shine a light on the incredible work Somerset Community Foundation does for people and communities across Somerset.

For nearly 25 years, the Foundation has helped fund grassroots projects, local charities and community groups that make a genuine difference… often giving smaller organisations the support they need to get started, grow and continue helping others.

It has been a real privilege for the Mark One Consultants team to work alongside Somerset Community Foundation. The care, commitment and passion across their team is clear to see, and it is hugely encouraging to see the impact they have every day.

Resolution Interiors have kindly donated all their refurbished laptops to Brympton Golden Oldies (BGO), helping older residents stay better connected and more confident online.

To make sure the devices were “ready to go”, our Managing Director, Jon Budzynski, refurbished and prepared each laptop and spent time with the new recipients, offering essential hands-on IT support and training.

This now means members of BGO can use their new laptops for everyday essentials like keeping in touch with family, accessing online services and enjoying digital hobbies with a bit more confidence.

We are delighted to support this initiative and our client, Resolution Interiors, in their ongoing commitment to the local community.

Jon Budzynski and Ben Grave headed over to the Digital Hub Yeovil at The Lanes Hotel last night and it didn’t disappoint.

Thank you Shaun Whitehouse and the Lanes team for looking after everyone so well... great atmosphere and food as always.

Richard Howes and Scotty Quilter FBCS pulled together another really informative session, with plenty of practical ideas on how local businesses can actually use AI day to day.

We also had two really informative and entertaining keynote speakers this time... thank you Jono Buchanan and Thomas Chartres‑Moore for sharing your insights.

If you’re in or around Yeovil and want to get your head around tech without the jargon, we’d definitely recommend coming along to the next Digital Hub in September. See you there!

We’re proud to have sponsored a hole at Sherborne Golf Club’s charity golf day in support of the Rendezvous, alongside so many fantastic local businesses.

Events like this make a real difference, helping young people build confidence, improve their mental health and gain accredited qualifications in English and Maths for a brighter future.

The Lord's Larder Food Bank in Yeovil has been serving the local community since 1991, providing emergency parcels of long-life food to individuals and families referred by local agencies. Operated by volunteers and supported by local churches, schools, businesses and community groups, it now helps thousands of people each year with essential food items.

At Christmas, The Lord’s Larder also includes seasonal food in its parcels to help make the festive period a little brighter for those facing hardship. Mark One is pleased to support this work again this year and to contribute non-perishable food towards their Christmas collections.
