The past couple of months I've been helping Sue and Roy from JIGSAW Jigsaw - Worcestershire Mental Health Relative & Carer's Support Group update their website.

They've been an absolute pleasure to work with and I think between us we've done a pretty good job on the website!

If you know anyone who suffers with their mental health or looks after someone who does, their charity offers support, chat and information from other carers.

To be honest, this past week, I’ve not really felt like promoting my business…

Sometimes there are just more important things going on, and that’s OK.

For those who don’t already know last Thursday we lost our Moogie. She had been poorly and at 14 well-lived, cheese-filled years unfortunately she went downhill pretty quickly.

As you can imagine, we miss her dearly for all her quirks and annoying but funny habits, it’s so weird without her around. No more morning cuddles or morning walks. No more tip tapping feet. No more huge Moogie fur balls of tumbleweed on the kitchen floor.
The house feels like an empty shell. It’s so quiet it’s a bit surreal.

Mix all those emotions with the highs of celebrating Izzy’s last week of Primary School. She was awarded the Humanities award, reading her English work, seeing her take everything in her stride. It’s really been an emotional time for all of us, huge highs and lows.

A huge thank you for the many kind messages, cards, flowers and understanding, it’s meant so much and really helped us get through this.

Thanks to Mandy Mandy Taylor - Celebration cupcakes and cakes in Worcester for the delicately crafted chocolates for Izzy’s teachers, and the ones that cheered me and Izzy up they were delicious X

We’ll never forget our Moogie. Totally crazy, very barky, extremely needy but always up for a countryside adventure - rest in peace old girl - we love you ###

Last Thursday morning I had the pleasure of joining one of my clients, Lindsey Shakespeare from WildBirch , for a Forest Bathing session at Lineover Wood, an ancient woodland managed by the Woodland Trust Trust. I’m so glad I went.

It was such a grounding, relaxing and genuinely inspiring experience. We spent the morning slowing down, taking in our surroundings and learning more about the beautiful trees and fungi, all while enjoying the company of a lovely group of local ladies.

One of the best parts of my job is working with people like Lindsey. They’re passionate experts with incredible knowledge who simply need the right support to share what they do with more people through a great website and effective marketing.

Just over 12 months ago, Lindsey took the leap, leaving employment to start her own Arboricultural Consultancy and Forest Bathing business. Seeing her build a business around something she truly loves has been fantastic, and I’m proud to have played a small part in that journey.

Starting your own business isn’t always easy, but with the right people around you, it really can be one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do.

I absolutely loved my first Forest Bathing experience and I’ll definitely be booking another one. If you’ve been feeling like you need to slow down, reconnect with nature or simply try something different, I’d really recommend giving it a go.

Please, please, please can you give a shout out to Keith Davies for his birthday today. He has many aliases, Prince of Pershore, Skeeter, Grandad Davies! He’s a huge Radiohead, Prodigy, PJ Harvey, Pigeon fan and old skool raver. It’s his birthday today and he’s in the office, so will need some tunes while he struggles with his computer work! 😂 X

Husband to Helen and awesome dad to Izzy. We have on in every room because of him, which has made Isabella a huge new music fan X He’s a BIG Lauren Laverne fan obviously, as you may already know! X He loves it when he gets a like, thanx Lauren! 👍 If you could play I am the Black James Dean or maybe something you think he might like Lauren, it would make his day XX

Today I had a wonderful morning, with a lovely friendly group trying our first guided walk and .

I feel totally, relaxed, peaceful and inspired to try more.

Thank you Lindsey, for an educational, spiritual and extremely relaxing experience. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone needing some chill time! X🌳
