I think that’s a brilliant marketing ‘line’ if you’ll forgive me. But seriously, if you still have old phone lines, you must do something!
Millions of businesses already have. As we get closer to the day when old phone lines are switched off, it’s feared that the last few could present a problem.

ADVANCE NOTICE
Just to let you know, BT have made an important step towards switching off all old technology conventional phone lines. As we buy our lines from BT Wholesale / Openreach, this will affect our customers.
They have just formally given 12 months notice that for 118 Telephone Exchange areas, they will no longer take orders for new phone lines as from June 2021. Obviously, we can still place orders for new lines in the meantime, where we need to. Dates for other areas will be introduced across the country in preparations for switching off the old phone lines between now and 2025.
A third of our customers have already changed to our latest technology Internet Phones. If you’re one of these customers, it will only affect your old phone lines like the line that carries your Broadband if it’s a Normal Broadband or a Fibre to the Cabinet Broadband. (ADSL or FTTC) These phone lines will need to be upgraded at some time as these plans progress.
Don’t worry - You don’t need to do anything at the moment, however, our advice is don’t spend money on old technology phones.

I JUST WANT TO PUT THE RECORD STRAIGHT FOR VOIP/INTERNET PHONES HOME WORKERS

I heard on the radio this morning that people should use old technology Landlines instead of VOIP/Internet Phones. I know the Mobile Networks and the Broadband Networks are struggling at the moment. But let’s put this into prospective – one person watching a Video/TV Online or Gaming is the equivalent of about 500 Home Workers with VOIP/Internet Phones.

Wouldn't it be better to ask people to cut down on Video/TV Online or Gaming ENTERTAINMENT for themselves and their kids and not attack people who WORK from home.
