Sharing knowledge and shaping the future of teaching and learning 🎓

Today, members of our Business Academic team attended the Learning & Teaching Conference at Harper Adams University, contributing to important conversations around the future of education.

As part of the conference, our lecturers delivered a session exploring AI literacy and critical thinking in students, an increasingly important area as AI continues to influence how students learn, research and engage with information.

The session provided an opportunity to share insights, exchange ideas with fellow education professionals and explore how we can support students to use AI thoughtfully, responsibly and critically within their studies.

We’re proud to see our academic colleagues contributing their expertise to wider discussions across the higher education community and continuing to develop approaches that enhance the student learning experience.

A huge thank you to Harper Adams University for bringing colleagues together for a valuable day of learning, discussion and collaboration.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved colleague, friend and Chief Operating Officer, Kuljit Singh Uppal, who passed away on Tuesday, 11 August 2026.

There are some people whose presence is felt wherever they go, and Kuljit was one of those people.

He was warm, humble and incredibly kind. He had time for everyone, regardless of their role or how long they had been with us, and treated every person with the same respect. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, supported and valued.

Those who knew Kuljit will remember his smile, his sense of humour and the energy he brought with him. He could be leading the business one moment and sharing a joke with colleagues the next. He joined in, he encouraged people, he supported them, and he was never too senior to simply be one of the team.

His contribution to School of Coding & AI was immeasurable, but it is the person behind the role that we will miss most. A colleague, a mentor, a friend and, for so many of us, a huge part of the heart and soul of our organisation.

The shock of losing Kuljit is incredibly difficult to put into words. From everyone at School of Coding & AI, we are deeply saddened, and our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, loved ones and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Thank you, Kuljit, for everything you gave to our organisation and, more importantly, to the people within it.

Your kindness, your laughter and that unforgettable smile will stay with us always.

Rest in peace, Kuljit. You will be deeply missed. 🤍

Every Tuesday, our team comes together for our weekly football session. ⚽

At School of Coding & AI, we believe a great workplace is about more than just what happens in the office. Every Tuesday, colleagues from across the organisation swap their desks for the football pitch, enjoying an hour of teamwork, friendly competition and plenty of laughs.

These sessions are a fantastic way to connect with colleagues from different departments, build stronger relationships and support both physical and mental wellbeing.

A huge thank you to Jasmer Hundal for organising these sessions and making them such a valued part of our culture.

This is just the beginning! We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels included, so we'll be introducing even more activities and wellbeing initiatives over the coming months to suit a wide range of interests. Whether it's sport, social events or team-building activities, there's something for everyone to get involved in.

Here's to many more Tuesdays on the pitch and many more opportunities to come together as one team. ⚽🙌
