This is a question we seem to get often. The short answer is yes – but there are ways to preventing that from happening. While you cannot stop someone from sending e-mails with your domain name, you can help e-mail servers around the world understand if e-mails sent from your domain name actually originated from you and are legitimate e-mails, so that any others can be discarded as spam. Some of these ways is to set up SPF or DKIM.

Here are a few tips to help you out

10 Things You Can Do to Ensure That Your Email Gets Delivered
Make sure your sending domain is older than 3 months.
Check your SPF record is correctly formed and has all your outbound providers listed.
Make sure all outbound email is DKIM signed from your domain name.
Make sure your From address is the same domain as SPF and DKIM domains.
If you have any URLs, make sure they are also from the same domain as the from domain.
Use an accredited warm up service over a period of 2 months before starting a campaign.
Check your lists - make sure everyone has double opted in.
Keep your content engaging and valuable to your audience - teach something!
Make sure your DMARC record is set correctly - ideally Quarantine or Reject.
Don’t sweat the numbers - some people just wont engage.
