Something a bit different for a customer. They had a noise coming from their tumble dryer which was a sure sign of the bearing failing.

You can see from the photo that it had worn right through. Part ordered overnight and fitted the following day. And the noise has gone completely.

Save the customer alot of money as they were just going to buy a whole new machine.

As some people might know, we have setup a few new bird boxes and have been playing around live streaming these and our terrapins.

Happy to say that we have managed to get at least two nests with eggs and potencial a third coming. The first is some bluetits which have been coming and going here feeding for a long time. The second is a Robin, who has decided to take up residence right at our back door in our garden hose reel. The third, I am not sure what it is yet. But we shall wait and see.

This desktop came in with constant crashes that the customer could not resolve. First checks found software issues, but the biggest issue was over heating. Full system clean up, software issues cleared and it was back up and running in now time.

Return customer with an Xbox one S. Random shut downs. Sadly, no surprise with the damage caused here. Liquid damage and really dirty environment. We know it was ok when it left us as we carried out a HDMI port and trace repair on it and it was fully cleaned out. And working well. No third chances for this one.

One of our regular customers has intrusted us with this it was previously used for work, and we have been asked to wipe it clean, update it, and install some software on it. With a really good spec, this is well worth keeping.

Small jobs came in for a repair along with a pair of laptops. It was for a foot massager. The issue was that the power kept cutting on and off at the slightest touch. The inspection found there was a lot of sideways movement. After stripping it down further, we found a pair of dry solder joints. This was quickly fixed, tested, and fully operational again. Another perfectly good electrical item saved from the scrap heap.
