Quantum computing is the next big thing in the IT world, and it’s looking to be the biggest innovation since the invention of laptops and mobile phones.

Recently, The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has promised that the UK would “go big on quantum computing” according to The Guardian’s latest article.

Apple has announced that it is enabling customers with the two latest versions of its MacBook computers and iPhones to fix their own devices.

The Business Standard said that the company, who has often prohibited anyone but company-approved technicians from fixing their devices, has made genuine Apple parts accessible to owners.

Apple is launching an online store for self-service repairs early next year.

BBC News has reported on the sale of the very first Apple computer at a US auction, and you wouldn’t believe how much it sold for!

Invented by the one and only late great Steve Jobs, the computer fetched an eye-watering $400,000, or £294,990.

The PC was built shortly after Apple was founded on the 1st April 1976, and the BBC believes there are 20 more Apple computers just like this one left worldwide.

BBC News covered the release of Apple’s all-new M1Pro and M1Max chips this month, both of which will be used in the firm’s new MacBook Pro laptops.

The new chip utilises 57 billion transistors and, as a result, is the most powerful variant Apple has made.

The BBC claims that Apple revealed the chip to be 1.7 times faster than the equivalent PC 8-core chip.

Ever wondered whether you could install Windows 11 on a 15-year-old Intel Pentium 4 Chip?

Well, PCMag has revealed that you can.

Despite Microsoft telling its consumers that its Windows 11 software is meant for more modern machines, Twitter user, Carlos S.M., went ahead with the installation.

Admittedly, the software runs a bit slower than it would on a more modern device, but it works nonetheless and proves that you can refurbish over a decade-old PC using modern-day software.

The Education Secretary, Nadhim Zahawi, is said to be interested in emerging automation technology which could free up teachers’ time in future.
