The EA Playdemic University Mentorship Program 2026 has come to a close! š
Over the past six months, we've had the pleasure of supporting 15 students from Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Portsmouth, and University of Staffordshire across Games Art, Games Design, Games Programming, and Games Production. š®
Each student was paired with an EA Playdemic mentor, meeting for an hour each month to discuss everything from career journeys and portfolio advice to industry insights and life in game development. š¬
Our goal has always been to help bridge the gap between education and the games industry by creating meaningful connections between aspiring developers and experienced professionals. We hope the students leave the program with greater confidence, clearer career goals, and valuable insight into what it's like to work in games. š
A huge thank you to all of our Playdemic mentors who generously volunteered their time, experience, and encouragement throughout the program. Your commitment has made a real difference, and we're incredibly grateful for the positive impact you've had on the next generation of games talent. š
Congratulations as well to all of the students who took part! š It's been fantastic to see your enthusiasm, curiosity, and growth over the last six months. We wish you every success as you continue your journey into the games industry. š
š©We're already looking forward to welcoming a new cohort next year! If you're a university interested in partnering with us for the next EA Playdemic University Mentorship Program, we'd love to hear from you.
