Been a while since anything was constructed from scratch. Fact I have had the transformers for these volume controls on the shelf for over a decade.... well the lockdown has allowed me to at least build these things up!

This design offers unity gain, +6dB and +12dB. It can convert from balanced to unbalanced and vice versa. Designed mostly to run direct of a DAC, so far I’m rather impressed at the transparency, even using the gain (which cuts the bandwidth down from 80Khz to 50khz) 12dB of gain means the removal of an entire tube out of the circuit.

Less is more! Single input single output design.

Mullard 5-10 of course the classic of British Valve amp “kits” nice pair of monoblocks. Reckon they are 4 years apart. But pair of lovely Partridge transformers on them. I have just got them going at the moment. Can sell as is, or refurbish them with better connectors and bring the circuit up to date.
