Land Line and Mobile Operators - Holiday Closures:
During the months of December and January, network operators implement a moratorium on specific non-essential core network activities to mitigate the risk of disruptions during the holiday period.
While numerous orders not necessitating core network development will proceed as usual, there may be a reduction in engineering support, and hardware shipments could surpass regular timelines. Additionally, certain networks will experience a closed period for number porting.
Detailed information for various network services is outlined below:
IP Telephony:
No constraints on services or portals; however, there may be potential extensions in hardware shipment dates. The last port completion date is from Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, until Thursday, January 4th, 2024.
Mobile:
The final date for Port/Migration PAC submission is Tuesday, December 19th, 2023. The last Port/Migration completion date is Wednesday, December 20th, 2023. The first Port/Migration date for the new year is Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024.
DIA (Dedicated Internet Access / Lease Lines):
A frost period will commence from Monday, December 11th, 2023, resulting in restrictions on service-impacting changes. A complete freeze, including all core network activities, will be in effect from Monday, December 18th, 2023, until Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. This encompasses all builds, changes or new service additions, routine maintenance, and a provisioning lead time 'hold' period. There may be potential extensions in hardware shipment dates and reduced engineering resources.
Broadband (ADSL, FTTC, SOGEA & FTTP):
Possible extensions in hardware shipment times and reduced engineering resources may apply.
