Caithness Sight And Sound Audiovisual Installations for new builds and existing properties and Digital Signage for businesses

03/12/2016

We are boosting and sharing this out again because firstly it is still Small Business Saturday and also because Barbara's page Big Gifts from Small Scotland has now officially gone live

03/12/2016

Today is Small Business Saturday, the day where everyone is encouraged to shop and support local small businesses or small social enterprises. When you shop with these businesses you are not contributing to a quarter of a billion pound profit that you will hear announced on the news and on the radio, you are actually helping a son get his new football boots or a daughter get her first gymnastic outfit, a mum or dad put food on their table or a family pay their bills. You will hear none of this on the news or a radio.

These businesses shareholders are not a fat cat sitting in an office planning their 4th holiday home. Their “shareholders” are their customers and they are the ones they strive to make happy. We have been lucky and have spent a lot of time in the last three months with companies like these, so we are delighted to introduce all of them to you, our followers, as they would all love for you to all be their next happy “shareholder”. If you can use their product or service right away, give them a call. If you can’t just now give them a like and share their page for your friends to see.

With just a little over a month left before we celebrate our 1 year anniversary at Caithness Sight & Sound we have been reflecting on the last year.

It's been a lot of hard work mixed with a couple of occasions of self doubt alongside some moments of people telling us "it'll never work" as we have tried to bring new and exciting ideas and services to Caithness.

However, when we see peoples faces when they experience something they never have before, from
- Screens at a wedding dance showcasing the bride and groom from toddlers to the day before their wedding, alongside images of their friends and family both present and in memory.
- Restoring a lost wedding video and transferring the cleaned film to DVD to be enjoyed for years to come
- Watching a diner ask to see a Special menu in a restaurant and be handed an iPad for them to see the menu at their table
- Taking a pub quiz and turning it into a magical multimedia event for the local school
to name just four, it makes everything worthwhile.

The second year of Caithness Sight & Sound is going to be just as interesting as we announce a couple of new services to our portfolio but one thing we felt during our period of reflection is our logo just wasn't reflective enough of everything we did. So I am proud to show off for the first time our new company logo.

This is what we were up to this week. Exciting Times.

Yesterday we attended a wedding where we did something a little different. Utilising our hire screens we were able to present a number of videos we created from photographs, provided to us by the bride & groom as well as their families, throughout the evening.

Alongside this we also created (a longer version) of the below video which was displayed after the ceremony to provide a welcome to the guests but also provide background music for said guests.

All that is left to say is Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Manson, Scott & Sarah. Thank you for allowing us to share in your day and we hope that your lives are filled with as much joy and happiness as your guests were yesterday.
