Today we carried out a memory upgrade on a laptop we previously supplied to one of our business customers.

The laptop originally came with 16GB DDR5 RAM, but as their workload has grown, they wanted a little extra performance for multitasking, office applications, web-based systems, and day-to-day business use.

Thank you to everyone who has already booked in! We currently have 10 PC builds and repair jobs scheduled for when we return, so the workshop diary is already filling up fast.

🚀 BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT GeoPCs 🚀

Over the past few months we’ve been quietly working behind the scenes building our very own in-house workshop software system 👨‍💻🔧

Our current system already allows us to create repair jobs and work orders linked directly to customer details, helping us keep repairs organised, tracked and updated internally throughout the workshop.

After months of improvements, upgrades, testing and bug fixes… we’re now preparing to move over to V2 👀🔥

Here’s what’s coming:

✅ Live Repair Tracking in Real Time
✅ Instant Status Updates
✅ Easier Job Management
✅ Official GeoPCs Custom PC Builder
✅ Live PC Component Pricing linked to the current tech market 📈💻

This means customers will soon be able to log into their own portal and keep track of repairs and custom PC builds without needing to chase for updates 👌

We’re still carrying out final testing and squashing the last few bugs before launch, but the plan is to make the new platform live shortly after the Bank Holiday weekend 🚀

⚙️ Another interesting one in the workshop today at GeoPCs 👨‍💻

We had an All-In-One PC come in needing a data recovery inspection after developing faults. As with most All-In-One systems, getting to the storage drive isn’t always straightforward… the entire unit had to be stripped down piece by piece just to access the SSD 😅

Thankfully, after checking the drive, the customer’s important files were all safely backed up to the cloud ☁️✅

After discussing options, we’re now looking at designing them a custom Mini ITX PC build instead 🔥

Why move away from an All-In-One?

✅ Longer lifespan overall
✅ More performance for the money
✅ Individual components can be replaced if anything fails
