Great WPCC meeting this morning. Here's the presentation in all it's glory and my top tips from the meeting.

1 Email is the #1 entry point for malware.
2 Use a good paid for antivirus. My family use Sophos Home. 35/year for 10 devices.
3 Installing AV on a phone, either Android or iPhone is a good idea.
4 As good as good AV is, don’t rely on it, use caution for every email and link.

6 Don’t use link shortening services unless you really – really have to.
7 Make sure your emailing lists are very accurate otherwise your emails will end up in junk folders.
8 Email delivery settings are very important but very technical.
9 You can’t trust a HTTPS padlock anymore, online shops and sites that take credit cards or collect personal information should use Extended Validation (EV) certificates.

If you're getting any spam at all in your inbox talk to your IT people. If they can't help you call us. Appleby Systems has a fantastic enterprise class email filter and we know how to use it.

Because many manufacturing and supply chains are shut down or otherwise disrupted, it may become difficult to procure new computers and other IT equipment in the coming weeks and months. If you have any new hires on the horizon or other IT purchases in mind please give your IT people plenty of notice so they / we can have plenty of lead time to order the equipment.
