It was a pleasure for our Technical Director, Darren, and Production Manager, Samantha, to be invited to review the work of third-year Product Design students at University of Bristol, following a three-week brief set by a business partner working with A Squared Technologies Limited.
Darren was particularly impressed by the different approaches the students took to the same challenge. Some explored bold ideas for the future, while others focused on considered, practical improvements to the existing design. The quality and variety of the work were impressive, especially given the short timeframe.
The presentations were equally impressive, with students explaining their thinking clearly and confidently, giving the panel plenty to discuss and demonstrating the work that had gone into developing their ideas.
At A Squared Technologies, we also partner with other universities, so it's always encouraging to see what these collaborations can offer. Live business briefs give students valuable experience of the decisions and constraints involved in product development, while offering businesses fresh perspectives and new ideas to consider.
A big thank you to all the third-year students and lecturing staff for their hard work and for making the review such an enjoyable experience.
We're looking forward to following the next stages of development and seeing which ideas make their way into the final product.
