Hi everyone.

So things didn't work out with my partner and I've been homeless pretty much since days after the last message i posted. I'm being supported by the council homeless team but because of my health and all that has happened since i have had to go onto Universal Credit. They can provide me with the months rent in advance and the deposit up to £600.

I am updating people on this today because i desperately need somewhere to stay. I am on the home register but it will take a while to get anywhere. The homeless team can only support me with a room with bills included. UC will support me up to £600 per month.

So does anyone know of or have a room spare to rent/stay in for a while until i can get back on my feet and/or secure the social housing that i can bid on each week?

I am planning to get back to work at some point once things settle, i am clean and tidy, i do smoke but obviously have lived in many places that don't allow smoking so smoke outside etc and due to my health want to give up as soon as possible anyway.

This is utterly embarrassing but i have no choice but to try and ask here. I also have a lot of technology and furniture in storage with a friend that ideally i'd like to move into somewhere with me... but that's just a side note really.

can anyone help ? I need to move out of my friends that i'm staying with and have been currently ASAP. I also desperately want somewhere that Felix my son (age 6) can visit me and stay some weekends at. My ex partner and i have agreed on this and i plan on once i have somewhere more long term, going 50/50 with her in caring for Felix.

Oh and, this could be anywhere in Weston or places like Breen, Yatton, Banwell, Clevedon etc.

Hello all,

I am sad to announce that I will be closing the shop affective immediately. My health has impacted the business for a while now and I’ve grown to have a negative relationship with the shop itself, the road, and need time to have a break from it all.

To all customers who have had builds done which have warranties remaining, don’t fret, you can still contact me here as I will be leaving the page up and will continue to use the email too. Once things have settled down for me and I have sorted my health problems I am likely going to continue doing this type of work from home where I will be converting my garage this week in order to work on any returns I may have until I start back up working from home. I cannot say right now how long it will be until I flip everything to working from home but I’m certain I will at some point as I love what I do and remain an enthusiast and will do forever.

Anyone who has contacted me in the last week or two for builds or work I will be emailing back and offering to go through with the work still but I won’t be able to fulfil requests for builds and repairs going forward. My suppliers will remain something I am able to contact and continue to process RMA’s through as I won’t be declaring bankruptcy or anything like that.

There are many factors as to why I have reached this decision and trust me when I say I have been fighting doing this for a long while. It’s time to put my pride aside and focus on my health and family.

I’m really sorry, but I will be back at some point in the near future. A new chapter awaits, and I am extremely grateful for all the brilliant customers, memories and business I have done with the people of Weston for 11 years now.

This is just a heads up that the shop will be closed from the 12th of this month until the 22nd.

We're encountering difficulties with my previous host (which is why i wanted to leave) at the moment so please bare with me. Hello everyone,

I am changing my opening hours going forward to the following:

Mon - Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Sat - 10:00am - 4:00pm

I'm sorry if anyone has come by the last few weeks, i was off ill in/out of hospital etc for respiratory problems and then immediately had to move home the following week which was delayed and left me with a bad back.

However i am back now and the move should improve my health as the old Victorian we we're living in near the sea front had damp issues that were never properly fixed.

So i'm back and should be less ill as a result of all of this going forward as i was getting regular chest infections that got pretty bad at times.

Sorry for any inconveniences caused over the last year or so as I've had a lot of time off. I'm still just as passionate about what i do and determined to be here as much as possible to build and repair computers going forwards.

Thanks to the many of you who were patient and understood and waited for me to be back at the shop to get things done. It really helped me stay focused through it all.

Hello everyone, just an update on the situation.

I can't really say much other than post the update i am getting. I have to stress that BT and Open reach are doing all they can but they are up against North Somerset council and needing a path closure permit to get the work done. If you have any contacts with the council directly then please let them know as its all hidden beneath layers of desks/paper work etc.

Here are some sccreenshots/crops of the latest information. I have been unwell with a chest infection the last week or so also, which really does not help. So if you've called me I apologise. I am still very much going to get back to the shop and carry on fixing and building computers but if you do have work that needs doing at the moment then call me as i will be once again answering the phone.

I would also like to point out that:

1. I cannot run an entire I.T business plus its download overhead through a crappy 4g/5g dongle that would need to share its connection with multiple machines, both customers' and our own.
2. I am due compensation and have been given the appropriate forms to claim it from BT but i don't know what they cover yet and i cannot make a claim until the fault is finished and the length of the outage is known.

Thanks for understanding and sorry if you called over the last week or so. I am well again and while limited in what i can do with the more technical fixes i am able to do most laptop repairs and builds still so give me a call/email if you need that done !

PLEASE READ*** UPDATE***

So I've spoken with BT who have spoken to openreach and this issue could take longer to sort than expected because we're relying on north somerset council to give openreach permission to dig to the fault.

After covid, loan repayments and health issues of late, this is all i need... when I still love what I do and want to get back to the shop 6 days a week.

So, I have an office at home that i will be working from as much as possible. I wont obviously be able to do sales of refurbished machines but I can still do repairs for anyone no problem.

On Saturday gone (4th) i rang BT and asked they divert calls made to the shop to my personal mobile, after several draining back and forth put on hold for ages phone calls they are adamant that its setup to do that, but when i ring the shop from a mobile phone sat next to the one it should divert to it does not. So I am battling with them over that currently.

In the meantime, which I am reluctant to do because I know how spam works, here's my mobile number if you need any repairs done. I only live a few mins from the shop and its easier to park near my home too so feel free to bring your poorly machines to me there instead.

PLEASE READ**** UPDATE****

Hi everyone, unfortunately we are closed at the moment and have been since last Friday due to there being no dial tone or internet access at the shop. We've done all we can in reporting the fault and have been told that up to 50 other homes and businesses in and around Meadow Street and Orchard street are also effected.

The fault is below ground, below the cabinet so open reach are waiting for permission from the council to dig up the path near the traffic lights on the Orchard/Meadow street cross roads near the T-shirt shop. They will be updating me tomorrow (Wed 8th).

Until then, without any decent internet connection i cannot work on repairs and new builds at the shop so I will be collecting all the jobs i have on today this afternoon and bringing them home to get them finished for our customers who currently have devices in with us for repair etc.

This is obviously not an ideal situation and I apologise for any issues this may cause anyone but its completely out of my control.

I would also like to thank customers who have understood that i have had a lot of time off in recent months which is not related to this situation. I have had lots of stuff going on around the business in life with my health and am finally getting things sorted I have left alone and neglected for years. Obviously this makes that situation worse as i have been working as much as possible around doctors/hospital visits and some days here and there with bad health and now cannot work at all until this is resolved.

I'd like to also add that I still love what I do, I still enjoy what i do and I aim to be back at the shop 6 days a week and earning the same kind of income to support my family as i did prior to deciding to sort multiple health issues i just ignored and worked through for years.
