Over the past five days, we have received numerous calls from customers with BT email accounts that have been hacked. It appears scammers are sending emails pretending to be from BT, asking recipients to update their account details.
Do not act on these emails if you receive one. This advice also applies to most emails of this nature.
If you are unsure whether an email is genuine, you are welcome to forward it to [email protected], and we will confirm whether it is legitimate or a scam.
