🖨️ Epson Ink Tank Printer Saved from Replacement!

A customer recently brought in an Epson EcoTank printer displaying the dreaded "The ink pad needs service" (E-11) error message.

Many people assume this means the printer has reached the end of its life, but in most cases that's not true.

🔧 Our repair involved:
✅ Replacing the saturated waste ink pad with a new one
✅ Connecting the printer to our workshop PC
✅ Using specialist Epson service software to reset the ink absorber counter
✅ Fully testing the printer to ensure it was operating correctly again

The result? A fully functioning printer back in service and an expensive replacement avoided.

These waste ink pads collect excess ink generated during cleaning cycles. Once the printer estimates the pad is full, it locks itself out to prevent potential ink overflow. Replacing the pad alone isn't enough – the internal counter must also be reset using dedicated service software.

♻️ Another successful repair that saved money, reduced electronic waste, and extended the life of a perfectly good printer.

🚨 Xbox Series X saved at Computerworks 🎮

We recently had an Xbox Series X come into the workshop suffering from overheating issues. After opening the console up, we discovered the heatsink was completely clogged with dust — blocking airflow almost entirely and causing the console to struggle with cooling.

A full internal clean was carried out, removing a huge build-up of dust and debris from the fan and heatsink (See photos). The difference was massive! ✅

The console now has proper free-flowing airflow again and is running much cooler and quieter.
