The lesser seen AE320 MK2 is a true 3 way in a similar configuration to the flagship Corrinium.

Every now and then a product takes you by surprise. A chance encounter with the Muse Y-40 has made us fall in love with this incredible Hi Res Streaming amplifier. The look, build quality and feature list doesn’t lend itself to a £849.00 Streaming amplifier, but it is only £849.00! You have probably already been told, but we will say it again! Chord cables have an incoming price increase from 1st August and it’s a chunky one.

Due to the price rises on copper and silver, all Chord Cables products are going up between 20-25%.

So, if you have been on the fence about an upgrade, or have a long term upgrade path, it might be worth considering bringing it forward!

Had the chance to spend sometime listening to the new REL Acoustics Planar 1 subwoofer yesterday.

For those of you who remember Habitat, the Planar 1 and 2 take a wall mounted approach and apply it to a far superior sounding sub. This isn’t a solution/lifestyle product, it is a genuinely good sounding speaker in a more living room friendly design.

We had the chance to see it on the optional cart, which is real life has some really practical advantages, especially when paired with the Airship wireless system.

We had it paired with the Acoustic Energy AE1 40th anniversary speakers and not only did it add lower weight, it expanded the soundstage width and height wise, enhancing both the attack and decay of notes and percussion. A typically brilliant REL!

We now have the new Musical_Fidelity_UK M5xi and M6xi on demo alongside the B1xi and A1. The new M-Series line has an updated DAC board now supporting HDMI eARC and USB-C, improved MM and MC phono stage but retaining the Dual Mono design of the previous models. The M5xi has grown into the 6 chassis and both have had a leap in performance. The M5xi could he the bargain of the year! If you’re looking at a new amplifier, put them both on your list and come for a listen
