I would like to share with you my journey to AWS, starting from my first PC up until the latest and greatest Cloud technologies today!
Part 1
Intel 486 - that was the processor of my first ever owned PC. This beast was running at 66 MHz and had 16 MB RAM, 250 GB HDD, 3.5” floppy drive and a CD-ROM. And it was running Windows 3.11!
At the time I got it, I knew there already was Windows 95 somewhere around, and I wanted it badly! Really bad! So bad that once I tried to install it myself and failed. Completely ruined my 3.11 and couldn’t do a thing, or at least I didn’t know how to (there were no smartphones and couldn’t Google anything...). That was the first and only time I had to call up a “computer guy” to come and install my Windows 95. I followed his every mouse move, every keystroke…
Since then my curiosity about how things work and how they are put together has driven me to learn everything I can put my hands on. This knowledge and experience allowed me to find optimal and unique solutions for each and every case. And I continue this learning and search path for every task at hand.
