Without auto-electricians and mechanics, the world wouldn’t grind to a halt overnight, but it would start breaking down faster than most people expect.

First, modern vehicles are heavily dependent on electronics. Without auto-electricians, issues with things like sensors, battery systems, or onboard computers and control modules wouldn’t get fixed. Even something as simple as a faulty starter motor or wiring issue could leave a car unusable for a (longer than "normal" period of time). Over time, more and more vehicles would be abandoned because no one could properly diagnose or repair them.

Mechanics are just as critical. Without them, routine maintenance, oil changes, brake repairs, engine overhauls, suspension repairs and welding, engine servicing, wouldn’t happen. Cars, vans, buses, and trucks would wear out quickly and become unsafe. Breakdowns would become extremely common, and accidents would likely increase due to poorly maintained vehicles.

The ripple effects would be huge:

Transport systems would struggle: Delivery trucks, public buses, taxis, out of service. Getting food, parcels, and essential goods would slow down or stop in some areas.
Emergency services would be impacted: Ambulances, fire engines, and police vehicles rely on constant maintenance. Their response times and reliability would suffer.
Businesses would take a hit: Logistics, construction, farming, industries dependant on vehicles and machinery. Costs would rise, and productivity would drop.
Everyday life would change: Commuting would become unreliable. People might rely more on walking, cycling, or limited public transport. Cities could become quieter, but also less functional. For us in our rural network, this would prove almost impossible.

In short, auto-electricians and mechanics are part of the invisible backbone of modern life. Without them, mobility, supply chains, and emergency response would all become less reliable and daily life would feel a lot less convenient and a lot more uncertain.

Your tradesmen would not be able to turn up to work at your house, in their van full of tools, without a running & functioning van.

Your fuel wouldn't get to your local petrol station without a reliable, running HGV.

Your local supermarket would run out of stock, if it wasn't for a reliable, running HGV.

Your ambulance wouldn't turn up in a desperate time of need, without a reliable, running ambulance.

Just a moment of appreciation!

⚡ What Is Auto-Electrical Diagnostic & Repair? ⚡

Modern vehicles aren’t just engines and wheels anymore — they’re packed with complex electrical systems that control everything from starting your car to parking sensors, dashboards, lighting, immobilisers and engine management.

That’s where we come in.

We specialise in Auto-electrical diagnostics and repair — which means we don’t guess… we test!

🔎 Auto-electrical diagnostics involves:
• Identifying battery drain issues
• Fault-finding warning lights & engine management faults
• Diagnosing starting & charging problems
• Tracing wiring faults
• Testing alternators, starters & control modules
• Investigating intermittent electrical issues

Modern faults often require specialist diagnostic equipment, technical knowledge, and experience interpreting live data — not just plugging in a code reader and hoping for the best.

💡 If you’ve got:
– A warning light you don’t understand
– A car that won’t start
– Electrical features playing up
– Blown fuses that keep returning
– Mystery battery drain

We can help.

Auto-electrics are our speciality, and we take pride in providing accurate, honest fault-finding without unnecessary parts swapping.

If you’re unsure whether your issue is electrical or mechanical — get in touch. We’re always happy to advise. Whilst we don't currently offer a mechanical repair service, we are always happy to pass on to our partner workshops, should the fault be of a mechanical nature.

At Ross Auto-Electrical, we’ve built our reputation on complex auto-electrical diagnostics. It’s what we do best, and it will always remain our core speciality.

That said, we’ve been hearing you loud and clear!

We’ve been inundated with requests for reliable, honest, and accurate mechanical work, and while this isn’t our primary focus, it is something we’re both qualified and experienced in. In response to the needs of our community, we’re actively attempting to expand what we can offer. Without diluting our speciality.

As we adapt our setup to accommodate more mechanically focused tasks, we kindly ask that you bear with us. We continue to work closely with other reputable local mechanical workshops and will always point you in the right direction when needed.

We’re trying our hardest to work alongside our communities, and yes—we’re feeling the pressure of high demand. But please know this:
We hear you. We understand what you want. And we’re doing our best to put it into practice.

We can't do it, without knowing that it is wanted.

So, in the meantime, if you’re looking for anything automotive related please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Where we can, we will help. Whether that means taking care of it in house, or outsourcing.

Auto-electrics will always be our speciality—but that doesn’t mean we can’t carry out the work we were trained to do.

Thank you,

Matt.

As we wrap up 2025, we reflect on what an amazing year it has been for us at Ross Auto-Electrical.

We've been overwhelmed with work, received fantastic feedback and positive reviews, and have successfully gotten hundreds of vehicles back on the road and back in great shape. We've also signed several contracts for upcoming projects and tackled some truly exciting challenges, all while enjoying every moment.

A huge shoutout to the boss, Hollie Ross, who’s always behind the scenes making sure the tank is full, the batteries are charged and the sat nav’s set in the right direction!

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported and contributed to our journey. You know who you are!

Lastly, a big thank you to our customers—both old and new. It's a bit ironic to thank you for coming to us with broken-down vehicles, but we genuinely appreciate your trust in us for your diagnostics and repairs.

Happy New Year, Pembrokeshire! Here’s to an incredible 2026! 🍻🕺🏼
