Thanks to a great team effort, under very tight timescales, MiTech were able to complete delivery of 200+ custom built portable IT systems as part of a multimillion pound contract for a UK customer. Internal design of the units were a collaboration with AV Fanatics, who went on to construct and fit out the cases and MiTech providing the equipment, engineering and configuration expertise. A job well done under difficult time constraints. Customer very pleased. Picture shows units being loaded on the transport.

OK, due to Covid-19,as with many small companies, MiTech has seen a closure of many of the projects we were working on but are fortunate to be working on two major critical comms projects that mean most of my staff are still working, albeit off site or from home. The office remains open but with a skeleton staff and, under Government guidelines, we are observing social distancing and have provided surgical grade hand cleanser and sanitisers for all staff.

These are difficult times for everyone, but we remain positive that the Country will pull through it and recover. I have read in some papers that only weak companies will go bust, but they seem to forget that pandemics are out of the control of the majority of us and that behind every failed company is someone's hard work and possibly staff who have families, mortgages and other daily costs to overcome. The Government, rightly, should give support to all who need it. We wish them well. Stay safe everyone.

MiTech installation techs, working with Skerry Electrical at University college London hospitals installing the racks and power for the new Zenic8 EMEA (Sunwave Solutions) CrossFire digital cellular solution (2/3/4G) for Phases 4 (Proton Beam) and 5 (ENT) buildings as part of an upgrade strategy.

It has been a while since I posted but the Company has been very busy working on Emergency Services Network (ESN) projects for EE.

Recent other wins include a multi-million pound contract supplying equipment and services to HMGov on major projects over the next 18 months and a 26 site project including concept and detailed designs and builds. A major Airport expansion design has been approved and we are awaiting a build instruction.

We are now seeing an increase in 5G projects and recent involvement has been on 2 stadiums in Scotland.

To meet demand we have been on an expansion strategy and this will continue into the New Year.

Another busy period for MiTech personnel with a significant amount of Emergency Services Network Projects completed. A 15 station Metro system Design and Build in Scotland and a coverage and Network performance survey in the Severn Tunnel. With all works carried out under strict Railway regulations it was pleasing to receive a commendation from Our client.

Several major projects secured including two Government projects and two hospital projects.

An interesting Month for MiTech Engineering, first a Macro evaluation at a large port in NE England using a cherry picker to reach antenna heights of 25m and 30m. Survey include all decks of large RORO ferries and storage sheds.

Second a visit to Warsaw in Poland as technical support for Zenic8's CrossFire demonstration for Emitel Poland. Demo included master and remote radio units under test for 4G LTE.

Both projects highly successful.

As we approach the financial year end, it will soon be time to reflect on an incredible year for MiTech both commercially and in its make up. Having, in the last year, lost my three most experienced staff members, two of whom had senior management roles, it has been a tough period as, due to a massive workload, I have had to promote and find replacements, often inexperienced and new to the World of radio communication. I can say however, that all have stepped up to the plate and despite the pressure have shown that their ability to learn and commitment to the job in hand bodes very well for the future.

Financially, it is going to be an excellent year having more than doubled our Turnover and with almost £1M of works going forward for 2018/9 it is set to continue. It won't be easy but with the team we are building I feel confident that this years success will continue.
