Stormy start to the day today!

I worked so hard to make art, gifts and stationery that I thought people would love. It’s heartbreaking to spend days preparing for a show only to sell one greetings card and a fridge magnet.

All in all today’s event made me a loss and I’m devastated that it didn’t work.

I’m going to take some time away from all this and think about what I want to do. It’s clear my products have no appeal and I need to think about how best to tackle this. At the minute I feel like a total failure.

Ever wanted to know just what goes into these illustrations of local landmarks?

Well it’s lots of hair lines and hatching to give depth and texture.

I use varying weights of ones to get the depth and shadows that I’m looking for in each piece.

Most of all, you need patience.
