🔥 ANOTHER PS5 SAVED BY CONSOLE GURU! 🎮

This PS5 came into us from another repair business after a previous repair attempt had unfortunately gone wrong.

The fan connector had been ripped from the motherboard, and during the failed repair attempt, the damage went further and affected the Southbridge — one of the PS5's main motherboard chips.

The fan needs communication from the Southbridge to operate correctly, so although the original fan fault wasn't caused by the Southbridge itself, the damage meant the chip ultimately had to be replaced.

🔧 This was no simple repair!

We completely rebuilt the damaged fan connector circuitry, repaired the board damage and replaced the Southbridge.
A repair at this level is something many repair shops would simply refuse due to the complexity and risk involved.

🚨 Another repair that should have been straightforward…

This customer’s Xbox Series S was taken to another shop — a phone shop 🙄 — for what should have been a simple HDMI port repair.

Unfortunately, the console arrived with significant additional damage from the previous repair attempt:
🔧 All HDMI port pads had been damaged
🔧 The ESD IC had been lifted and required reballing
🔧 A screw had been snapped in the APU heatsink, meaning the heatsink needed replacing
🔧 One of the motherboard mounting screw brackets had been snapped off
🔧 Multiple components had also been knocked off the board

We carefully worked through the damage, rectified the previous repair work and got the Series S back up and running. 🎮✅

Our customer can now get back to gaming!

Please take the time to research the business you’re using. Board-level console repairs require the right equipment, experience and, most importantly, care.

Unlike many standard repair services, we carry out extensive board-level repairs, allowing us to repair faults that others may simply class as unrepairable......

This Series S came in with a beep-on, beep-off fault and was completely unusable.

After performing an in-depth diagnostic, we found

💥 A blown MOSFET
🔥 Damage to the surrounding PCB tracks
⚠️ A faulty MOSFET controller
🔬 Board-level damage requiring component and track repair

The damaged components and PCB traces were repaired, the power circuitry restored and the console fully tested.

🎮 Back up and running perfectly!

🎮 Another PS5 Saved! 🎮

A customer brought in their PS5 with no display, believing it just needed a new HDMI port. After carrying out a full diagnosis, it turned out the HDMI port wasn't the issue.

The fault was traced to the HDMI Encoder IC, the chip responsible for processing the video and audio signals sent to your TV.

We removed the faulty encoder and replaced it with a brand-new Panasonic encoder. After testing, the console was back to displaying perfectly and ready to go home 👊

This is a great example of why accurate diagnostics matter. Replacing the HDMI port alone wouldn't have fixed this fault, potentially costing the customer unnecessary time and money.
