Ladies in our lives.....we think you're amazing! 🙌

Because, let's face it, life as a woman can often be a tough slog, yet we see our female friends, family and colleagues showing up every single day and getting s*** done.

And there are curveballs aplenty aren't there...

For us right now, these curveballs are often 'working mum issues'.

❄️ Schools are shutting because of the snow, can you come get them...now.
🤕 Your child has a headache, can you come get them...now.
📕 It's World Book Day, parents evening, after school netball match, school disco...oh, can you help? (say hello to your new PTSA treasurer and parent governor)
🏆 Your child has won an award...assembly will be in 5 mins, can you get here?

Never mind the endless emails and WhatsApp group messages pinging away all day long with a whole load of 'stuff'. 💬💬💬💬💬💬

Yet we know we are not unique or special, this is the ordinary, day-to-day reality for so many of our female friends, colleagues and clients.

But none of us are ordinary are we?

Because when all of this stuff comes at us from all angles, we're ready - to think fast, to pivot, to juggle and to simply be there.

And all while holding down full-time jobs and taking part in serious business conversations while trying to ignore an emergency HELP text from your child about his split trousers ⬅️ (insert your own scenarios here)

Yes, we may grumble, drop a few balls (and occasionally a few f bombs), but in the main, we're all pretty bloody special.

Please tell yourself that today. And better still, drop in an f bomb for us ;)

Happy 10th anniversary to us!

And what a journey it's been so far!

Running a small business has its highs and lows and we're extremely proud to be here, with a wealth of excellent clients 10 years on.

Here's our Top 10 Tips for other small businesses out there!

1. Get a good accountant and make sure you have cash reserves - thanks Martin Horton
2. Don’t think that working every hour makes you a hero…it just makes you knackered
3. Look for a good mentor who will hold you to account and make you push boundaries - yes, that's you Victor Giannandrea!
4. Be prepared to work hard, the rewards are worth it
5. Take time to plan, it’s the most important bit
6. Be brave enough to walk away from an opportunity that doesn’t serve you well – and NEVER allow yourself to be bullied
7. Think about how you want to work and who you want to work with and stick to your guns
8. Know your worth and don’t let anyone make you question it
9. Celebrate the victories, learn from the mistakes
10. Enjoy it!

What a busy, but amazing week for our little duo!

It may be holiday season but we're busier than ever and loving every project.

Here's some of the week's highlights...

A rebrand/web relaunch we have been working on with Fox & Flora went live this week and looks incredible! Kelly is a phenomenal wedding/event florist and working with her on this project has been a dream 🤍 if you need flowers for an event we can highly recommend her.

Another brand/web project for the Mosey Cafe in London was completed and we were sent this wonderful image of the logo on the client's mugs. Wishing you every success Ginnie!

We had a very positive meeting with Chantelle Lighting and delivered the stunning Macaron brochures to the team. This new range is already getting a lot of love and it's only the beginning!

Quick dash back from Chantelle for a call with Nelson and Colne College Sixth Form about next week's A Level results coverage - alarm set for 4-30am on that day 😴😴

We had news that the Readstone Construction Ltd brochure had been very well received and several meetings have been booked/taken place. Amazing 🙌 Oh, and they're having a fun day on Sunday - get yourselves down!

And last, but certainly not least, this week has been epic for Haffners Quality Butchers Haffners Pies - announcing the purchase of Pasture Farm Foods and tonight delighting crowds at the Turf with their pies - you can get them in the Fan Zone for the whole season starting today!

Fiona's finishing the week by meeting her Pendleside Hospice Strictly dance partner, Phil, and Claire tying up loose ends on several websites which we'll share with you soon.

First batch of Readstone Construction Ltd brochures are in the post! 🙌

Loved working on this project for the company's 10th anniversary.

The company took the start of a new decade as the perfect opportunity to launch Readstone Residential.

We were asked to create a brochure showcasing some of their incredible residential projects.

These brochures are now on their way to potential architect partners, while existing partners will receive a brochure and a sweet thank you gift.

This week has involved gin, oil and a little bit of dancing - and no that's not just for the one currently in Ibiza 😉

We started the week celebrating the collaboration between our client Haffners Quality Butchers and Batch Distillery - two very fine Burnley businesses who have created the Cook Out Gin, a perfect companion to the BBQ.

Yesterday we took receipt of a brochure we have created for Readstone Construction Ltd ready for posting out next week.

I (Fiona) also had my 4th dance lesson with Sandersons Nelson & Burnley in preparation for Pendleside Hospice does Strictly.

Loving dancing with my son!

I also joined Threads to see what it's all about....

I'll be pouring that on to my Greek yoghurt later!

Fantastic amount of money raised by Burnley College students from their first pop up shop held for Pendleside Hospice

Lovely to see their faces as the amount raised was revealed today.

Fiona has played a key role in developing a relationship with the college and the hospice and there's lots more exciting plans to come!
