🧘‍♀️ Blue Monday? Not at Forge! 🧘‍♂️

This week marked our first yoga session of 2026 and what better timing than to be on the same week as the so-called "most depressing day of the year"?

We stretched, we breathed, we recharged… and we reminded ourselves that looking after our wellbeing doesn’t have to wait for the weekend.

A massive shoutout to everyone who took part, here’s to beating the January blues one pose at a time 💪

Last weekend we headed to UlverSTEM to celebrate science, engineering and creativity with our local community. It was fantastic to see so many young people exploring hands-on activities, asking great questions and getting inspired by the world of STEM. 🔬✨

Events like this remind us why innovation matters and how important it is to encourage the next generation of engineers, designers and problem-solvers. We loved being part of it and helping shine a light on what’s possible with technology.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the event such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🙌

A Royal Occasion in Barrow 👑

The visit marked the historic moment when the Port of Barrow was granted Royal Charter status, a proud day for the town and the wider community.

🥔🌟 What a Spud-tacular Day! 🌟🥔

Today we celebrated all things POTATO and it was tater-ly brilliant!

We had a fabulous (and slightly ridiculous) potato makeover competition, where some truly impressive spuds were on display — from glamorous to downright weird.

Lunchtime brought delicious baked potatoes for all, loaded with toppings and love by Ma Sharps 🥔🥔🥔🥔

Then came the games:
🏃‍♂️ Spud & Spoon Race – the ultimate test of potato speed and balance
🎯 Pass the Potato – hot potato panic at its finest
🎳 Potato Bowling – who knew spuds made such good bowling balls?

Forging Ahead - On the Fells and Beyond 🏔️

We are incredibly proud of Nico Buck, who took on the Lakeland Trails 55km ultramarathon last weekend and smashed it, finishing in 11 hours and 45 minutes! 💪

With over 7,000ft of elevation and some seriously challenging terrain, this was no ordinary run but Nico showed remarkable endurance and determination from start to finish.

At Forge, we love seeing our team take on challenges - whether it’s designing complex lighting solutions or powering through mountain trails.

Well done, Nico - you’ve earned a rest (and probably a few snacks)! 🏅
