⚠️ PLEASE READ & SHARE: A quick warning that could save your home! ⚠️
Came downstairs today to a strong burning smell, only to find this cheap charging cable actively smoking and melting while plugged into the wall with nothing attached to it.
It’s easy to get into the habit of leaving cables plugged into sockets 24/7, but low-quality or damaged cables can short-circuit internally and overheat silently. This could have easily started a serious house fire if it hadn't been caught in time.
Quick Electrical Safety Checklist:
Unplug when not in use: Never leave live cables lying around plugged into the wall.
Ditch cheap, unbranded cables: Stick to safety-certified, branded replacements (look for CE, UKCA)
Inspect your cords: If a cable is frayed, bent, or extra warm to the touch, throw it out immediately.
Please take 5 seconds to switch off or unplug any idle chargers around your house right now! Stay safe everyone. 🔌🔥

Sunday fence painting Hired a new contractor today. He’s already demanded three snack breaks, refuses to wear safety gear, and insists on painting strictly 3 inches off the ground. 🛠️
Pretty sure 90% of the paint is on the drop sheet (and his arms), but hey, cheap labor is cheap labor. Dad’s officially supervisor today! 😂

Another property looking fresh and back to its best! 🧼✨
We’ve just finished up a full exterior cleanup at Amsterdam House for Titus Newsome Ltd. A lot of prep work went into this one to make sure everything lasts and looks top-notch!
Here’s what we got up to:
Wash & Soft Wash: Gave the render a deep wash, followed by a chemical soft wash to kill off any algae and grime.
Prime & Paint: Primed the render properly before putting down fresh coats of paint.
Windows & Sign: Cleaned down the main commercial sign and gave all the windows a sparkling finish.
Brick Pillar Fix: Rebuilt and repaired the front brick pillar after it took a hit from a car!

Another project checked off the list! 🛠️✨
Got this bathroom modernised and fully wrapped up today. The first half was already underway, so I came in to finish off the job with some fresh wall panelling and sleek black contrast trims.
To upgrade the setup, I swapped out the old halogen bulb for a bright LED light and installed a wireless Quinetic switch—perfect for flexible placement without tearing up walls. Topped it all off with some stylish black accessories to give the space a clean, contemporary feel. 🤘
