We had a Mac available for someone to take for free, but a customer insisted on paying £40 for it. We were genuinely touched — so we matched it with an extra £10 and donated £50 to Demelza.

We are looking for a computer whiz to join our small team!
We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for the IT industry setting up, troubleshooting and repairing all sorts of computer systems. Most importantly, you care about making customers happy and will always aim to give them great service. As a professional, customer-focused technician, you will prioritize customer satisfaction and strive to deliver exceptional service in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build, test, configure, install, clean, refurbish, and repair desktop PCs, laptops, and Apple products with meticulous attention to detail.
• Being able to proficiently disassemble and reassemble Laptops, desktops, and Apple Devices.
• Diagnose and efficiently resolve faults, actively identifying common issues and sharing insights with the team.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Windows/MAC OS and popular applications such as Office 365, Adobe, Google Workspace, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and resolution for customer machines when necessary.
• Document all technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues across Windows and MacOS platforms proficiently.
• Manage customer enquiries via phone calls and emails, schedule new jobs, and promptly respond to support requests.
• Skilled in providing quotes, processing payments, and generating invoices using our systems.
• Keep the shop tidy and ensure it is presented in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Display a confident, friendly manner and maintain a professional appearance.
• Possess excellent customer service skills, including a confident telephone manner.
This is a full-time position shared between our Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge branches. You'll work five days a week from 9:30 to 17:30. As the role is retail-based, you'll need to be available to work any day between Monday and Saturday.

Experience:
• Good working knowledge of Windows and/or Apple products: 2 years (preferred)
• Building computers to spec: 2 years (preferred)
• Troubleshooting and fixing software and hardware faults: 2 years (preferred)
