Great day out detecting with my daughter Millie, lovely weather, great finds and great times. Special moments made metal detecting. Here’s my finds from today with my XP Deus 2, got lucky before we started filming which is a shame not to be able to share. Manticore Millie has some videos to follow with her Minelab Manticore.. very proud of her and the sponsorship from Minelab, she’s a great detectorist after following me around detecting for 7 years with a number of high end metal detectors. Well deserved, I’m sure everyone will enjoy her upcoming videos, enjoying our great hobby and her finds with the Minelab Manticore. 😍😊👍

I've had quite a few people asking lately, 'what's the difference between the new XP ICON and the ICON X?' so here you go 👉

📣 XP ICON vs ICON X — What’s the Difference?
Choosing between XP’s newest detectors? Here’s a clear breakdown of how the ICON and ICON X compare.

🔵 XP ICON
• 3 factory programmes
• 3 user programme slots
• 4 kHz & 14 kHz mono frequencies
• 5 reactivity levels (1–5)
• 1‑point discrimination steps
• S‑Telescopic Lite stem
• Approx. 843g with remote / 735g without
• Simple, lightweight, switch‑on‑and‑go detecting

🔵 XP ICON X
• 6 factory programmes
• 6 user programme slots
• 4 kHz, 14 kHz and 28 kHz mono frequencies
• 7 reactivity levels (0–6)
• 0.5‑point discrimination steps
• S‑Telescopic Lite Carbon stem
• Approx. 830g with remote / 710g without
• More control, more flexibility, more fine‑tuning

✨ In short:
The ICON is perfect if you want a simple, lightweight detector with strong XP performance.
The ICON X is ideal if you want extra programmes, more reactivity control, finer discrimination, and the additional 28 kHz mono frequency for site‑specific tuning.

Both use XP’s FMF® simultaneous multi‑frequency technology, both are waterproof to 5 metres, and both share XP’s fast recovery speed and ultra‑light wireless design.

Both outstanding machines!
