At It'seeze Web Design South Wales Valleys, we help local businesses create websites that reflect the quality of their business and help them get found online. Many of our clients come to us because their website looks outdated, isn't generating enough enquiries or they've been let down by a previous provider. Before discussing websites or packages, we take the time to understand your business, yo

ur customers and your goals. That allows us to recommend the right solution for you rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Our services include:

✅ Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
✅ E-commerce Websites
✅ Website Hosting & Support
✅ Ongoing Website Reviews
✅ Local Advice & Support

One thing I have learned over the years is that not every problem requires starting from scratch.

It is easy to assume that an ageing or underperforming website automatically needs replacing.

Sometimes it does.

But sometimes the biggest improvements can come from much smaller changes.

Clearer messaging.

Better contact information.

More obvious trust signals.

Simpler navigation.

More current photographs.

A clearer explanation of the services.

A better next step for the customer.

These changes may not sound particularly exciting.

But if they remove uncertainty and make it easier for the right customer to enquire, they can be far more valuable than changing everything for the sake of it.

Good advice should focus on what is right for the business.

Not what creates the biggest project for the provider.

If I believe a business needs a new website, I will explain why.

If I believe the current website can be improved without replacing it, I will say that too.

The recommendation should fit the problem.

Have you ever solved a business problem with a much simpler solution than you originally expected?

A small observation from networking.

The conversations I remember most are rarely the ones where someone spends ten minutes explaining everything they sell.

They are usually the ones where somebody asks:

“How’s business?”

And then genuinely listens to the answer.

Not waiting for their turn to speak.

Not searching for an opportunity to push their service into the conversation.

Just taking an interest in the person and the business.

Those conversations often go somewhere much more useful.

You learn what is working.

You hear what has been frustrating them.

You understand what they are trying to achieve.

You sometimes realise that the thing they originally mentioned is not the biggest issue at all.

I have found the same when discussing websites and online visibility.

Before talking about websites, SEO, Google or content, it helps to understand the business behind them.

- What does the owner want to change?
- What are customers asking?
- Where do enquiries come from?
- What would make a genuine difference?

Solutions are relatively easy to discuss.

Understanding the situation properly is where the real value begins.

What is the best business question someone has ever asked you?

One of the most common things I hear is: “I think I need a new website, but I’m not really sure.”

And honestly, that is often the best place to start.

Not because the answer is always a new website.

Sometimes the real issue is that customers cannot quickly understand what the business does.

Sometimes the business has changed but the website has not kept up.

Sometimes nobody is available to make updates.

Sometimes the website looks fine, but it is difficult for a potential customer to know what to do next.

And sometimes a new website genuinely is the right answer.

The important thing is understanding the problem before recommending the solution.

I would much rather begin with questions such as:

- What are you trying to improve?
- Where do your enquiries currently come from?
- What regularly frustrates you?
- What do customers need to know before contacting you?
- What would a good result look like?

Those answers usually tell us far more than beginning with colours, layouts or website packages.

Business owners already have enough people trying to sell them something.

Sometimes what they really need is an honest conversation that helps them make sense of the options.

Have you ever been convinced you needed one solution, only to discover that the real problem was something else?

Running a business requires a lot of decision-making.

The difficult part isn’t always making the decision.

It’s deciding which decision deserves your attention first.

Social media often shows success.

Conversations show reality.

The most useful business discussions I’ve had usually happen after the meeting has finished and people start speaking honestly.

One thing networking has taught me:
No matter what industry people work in, many of the challenges sound remarkably similar.

Growth.
Confidence.
Time.
Decision-making.

You’re probably less alone than you think.

What’s one business challenge you think people don’t talk about enough?

Not marketing.
Not leads.

The real day-to-day challenges.

I’m always interested to hear different perspectives.

Think about a business you trust.

Why do you trust them?

I'm willing to bet consistency plays a part.

Turning up.
Doing what they say they'll do.
Being there when needed.

Trust is often built through repetition rather than grand gestures.

I'm a big believer that progress beats perfection.

Some of the best opportunities I've had in life and in business came from simply starting conversations rather than having everything planned perfectly.
