Four weeks since our business relaunch. Just over a year since my breast cancer diagnosis.
It's hard to believe how much can change in a year.
On 18 September, Cai and I celebrated the relaunch of Quay Media and the launch of Wear It Forward, our new venture supporting charities through merchandise.
It felt like an important milestone, a moment of relief and pride after an incredibly difficult year.
Since then, I've discovered that coming back to work after cancer isn't quite as straightforward as I'd hoped.
The enthusiasm is there, the ideas are there, but the energy doesn't always match up.
Slowing down isn't something I've ever found easy. I'm used to just getting on with things, juggling projects and making plans. But the last year has taught me that recovery takes patience too.
I'm really pleased to be back working with people again. Reconnecting, creating and slowly rebuilding.
There's plenty to look forward to, even if I'm still figuring out the right pace.
I'm grateful to still be here, still doing work I care about, and excited about what the future holds for both Quay Media and Wear It Forward.
And yes, those are my chemo curls making an appearance in the second photo. They're developing quite a personality of their own!
It's good to be back.
