Today is National Bipolar Awareness Day.

Bipolar disorder is a mental illness that affects over 1m people in the UK alone. It is a very serious condition and the NHS service provision is severely lacking in many areas leaving people affected with nowhere to turn.
This amazing day is to build awareness of this condition and help build support for the people who need it.

Well what a busy week it was last week and it looks to be the same again with a large number of proposals being sent out for new contracts :)

Interviews can be a very daunting situation for anyone, but the key to representing yourself in the best way possible is two elements … be yourself…. and preparation!
During our sessions we cover all elements of making the very best of interviews with our learners from clothing decisions, travel research, body language, portfolio presentation and most importantly question preparations.

The most popular and easiest method to ensuring your answers are formatted to meet the interviewers expectations is using the STAR method:

S – Situation
T – Task
A – Action
R – Result

Using this simple key structure ensures your answer relating to a past experience fully demonstrates the full process of how you dealt with a particular situation from start to finish which is exactly what your interviewer is looking for.

Job search has come along way over the years and with all the many websites and social platforms available its never been easier to find your next employment position – however many people are unaware of these modern techniques.

It’s a shocking statistic that around 8/10 of the learners we teach have only been taught and know of just job searching using just one or two key ‘main stream’ job websites and that’s all.

One of the key areas we teach our learners is the knowledge of job search using ALL the key methods including using the ‘main stream’ job websites, government websites, social media platforms and Google search hacks.

After learning these key methods we find our learners are able to find over 50% more available positions that are more suited to their key interests, skill levels and location, ultimately in many occasions moving into employment during our course sessions in the result of this.
