Chromebooks
Bought 3 to try / give as pressies. I understand why schools love them and Microsoft is probably being hurt badly by fact many will not need Word, Powerpoint or Excel to do what they need. Printer drivers are easier and system updates do not take up much time / resources. My problem is the default 'store it in the cloud' and expected planned redundancy after 6 years effectively forcing you to stick with Google.

If your PC is playing up and the system date/time is wrong the onboard battery ( Lithium CR2030) may be dying.

Built a PC using Solid State Disk and Windows 8.1. Not very impressed with stability or charms. I will stick with Win 7 Pro.

Safest way to clean your LED/LCD monitor. A few squirts of IsoPropyl alcohol on a microfibre cloth. If you use water and it gets past the seal it will likely damage a lot of pixels.

Printer paper jams are often caused by using paper that has got a tiny bit damp (old stock) or the printer rollers are dry - use oily platten cleaner spray.
