Spent the afternoon helping a friend’s elderly mother untangled and unlock their PC after scammers gained access via Anydesk 😞

Thankfully they only gained access to £0.03 before the bank stopped them.

Scumbags!!!!

Anyway I took it offline, removed anydesk and regained her access. Lesson learned.

Well that was fun to come home to…….

Message before I left work saying the “The Dog tipped ice tea on my laptop”……

“Ffs” i replied, “dry it as good as you can and put it in the airing cupboard”

So got home it looked ok 🆗
Pressed the power button and nothing other than the fan 🪭 full blast. 💥 uh oh.

So I stripped it down and there was liquid everywhere, sticky sticky ice tea. Even some blue fur where two diodes were arcing. Anyway cleaned it all up with some kitchen cleaner and a paint brush , dried it all out and hey presto, it works.

Yay 🙌🏻

Lesson here don’t have nice things!

So not been on here for a while, mainly as I was pi**ed off with Facebook as they seem to have permanently banned me from advertising, oh well……. (Correlates to when I got expelled from a certain political party, so maybe someone reported my personal account) anyway………..

I am still here and very much up for fixing your stuff. So don’t be a stranger ( I’m trying to fund a trip to the states 🙂 next year with my daughter )

Here’s an example from this evening of a poorly 😷 I didn’t get dropped (honest) 2022 MacBook 💻 with a damaged screen. Two hours and some stupidly small screws later, hey presto all working again.
